I feel they should change the rules a little... They should make it as difficult to get married as it is to get Divorced.. Wonder how many marriages may be saved ahead of time

sometimes other factors are involved that wasn't there when they got married. i'm still good friends with my ex but couldn't live with him.

Wonder how many marriages may be saved ahead of time You know that computer program they use to age someone when they're looking for a person who disappeared 20 years ago, and they want an idea of how they would look now? They should have a program like that, which shows you how your partner is going to be treating you 5 or 10 or 20 years down the road. That might prevent a whole lot of bad situations.

Yes, you did used to have to take a blood test before getting married. But there was nothing to that. Just had to go to your family doctor, tell them you need a blood test for marriage, get the blood drawn, and have the results the next day. Buy the license and you know the rest.

Didn't they used to do blood tests before marriage? Still do. Some blood type combo's are dangerous when it comes to childbirth. Don't know why they felt the need to do that though.

Didn't they used to do blood tests before marriage? what for???? An STD, not sure which one anymore. There are so many out there that are so much worse now. I live in IL. and you don't have to get a blood test here anymore.

I live in IL. and you don't have to get a blood test here anymore. oh, well only hiv, and syphillis, and hep b and c, are detected by blood tests for a std.
