I have been on a date once b4 after my divorced and didn't work out so well. but I would like to have some tips from y'all or advices how or what would be the best when asking some one out without scare them off

Just ask them out, plain and simple. We arn't mind readers, so you will never know if they want to, unless you ask. Why would that scare them off?

Ask them to meet for a drink or cup of coffee. Make sure they know you want to see them one on one, but in a situation where it's expected to last more than 20-30 minutes. If it doesn't work out, then it's easy to leave, or say you need to be somewhere. There need be no maximum time for a date to last... but it ought to be casual, stress free, and without expectation.

I can get dates.. but i work out of town alot! so i'm never around! But who don't want to meet knew people! I get tired of the same people i grew up with lol

 I have been used by the last two fellers (2006 *who used me like a rag dog* and after my divorce (2007: he just told me that he wanted 2 start a family with me and talked 2 me about it and I agreeed 2 it) I don't think they wanted serious relationship.
