My brother took is puppy in today to have her bits removed, and a polip removed, which you can see, well a vet said it was a polip, BUT it isnt, its a hell of a lot more serious than that,

When they put her to sleep, they discovered it not a polip, shes a hermaphrodite, which means she has both female and male sex organs, and the polip we could see was a willy.

They couldnt do the surgery, it appears she has problems with her water works, she needs to see a specialist, and its going to cost thousands of pounds to take it all out, if they can.

i hope to god, they can do the surgery, and her water works will be ok. shes so cute and only a puppy.

luckily money isnt a issue which is good.

i believe this is quite rare to happen in animals. i know theres a lady on here who works at a vets or something, maybe she will see this thread.

and just to add, the breader of the dogs, didnt feed saphy, because they couldnt use her for breading with this thing there, no one new at that time what it was. if they hadnt of bought here, he would have dround her in the bath. they bought here to do everything they could for her, and when they said it was a polip we were all so relieved, and now this, i cant believe it.

me to, its such a rare thing, i hope the specialist can do something. fingers crossed.

I'm an animal lover, I really am. Dogs especially. However, I think it is torture to put an animal through surgery like that.

Not to mention that the cost of the surgery could be better served being donated to animal shelters to keep other animals alive that would otherwise die.

I understand your friend's feelings, but it seems as though priorities are misplaced. Sorry. I can't offer a whole lot of support here.

my brothers fiancee is a qualified nurse and vetinary nurse, all female dogs have to be done, its pretty much no differet to that. she has talked to all the vets shes worked with and NOT one of them have said what you have said. however i dont expect any posotive comment of you!!!!!
