exactly. Being too jelous is not healthy in a relationship becuase it is based on a lack of trust. Though a little jelousy is only healthy.

Love grow like a flower each day, and hard to see a flower grow till it bloom.....what flower can grow without the sun and the night.....trust your own desires and they will never fail you, as if you look to others they will only steer away from all that has pained them from their past, and you become the more others past and pain.....what being created their own desire for anything....if what he do you like, than it is good, and if what he do you do not like, than it is not.

Jealousy is a dangerous thing. It tends to be derived from feelings of distrust and low self esteem.
We all suffer from those things at times to varying degrees, in any relationship...
However, if the two people involved are well balanced, self assured, trusting and the relationship is sound.. Then any feelings of jealousy should be rectified pretty quickly..Mostly without much expression.

what you thought is right, as jealousy is often mistaken for control, when it is love that try to defend a womens honor.

to many people often confuse jealousy as a sign of love. "well if he really loved me he would be mad that this guy was talking to me" It's soooo not true. If he really loves me he would know that if I'm talking to another guy, it's a friendly chit chat kind of thing and I'll be coming home to my man

I don't think it should be taken negatively... I am not a jealous person at all, but I expect the same in return... Not to say that I don't have momentary feelings of jealousy, but usually it's minor and not worth mentioning... As jistme was saying...

i'm not a jealous person at all and i trust completely untill she gives me a reason not to which in most cases doesn't take very long at all. at that point where i don't trust anymore it's can be over any second.

is there a particular reason you feel a particular guy should be jealous?

could be he's so secure its ridiculous...or could be he doesn't care enough to really care.

Anyone can be jealous. Those who ARE jealous, have insecurities within them selves. However, one who IS jealous, can also be of such charater if they remain with a man or woman who has tested their trust. Especially, if a significant other has strayed (been caught or made it known) and/or are very flirtatious in general; circumstances like this only brings forth jealousy within a relationship.
Those who AREN'T jealous, one reason is because they're secure with who they are and what they offer and bring to the table in a relationship. Also, if their partner shows complete devotion toward their honey.. jealousy normally doesn't arise.

I think the real question was does it always mean that it is a bad sign if someone is not jealous.... Sure, it could go either way... but not always a bad sign in my opinion...
