the middle class since the upper wage earner employees the middle calls earners....take away the upper wage earner and the middle wage earner is unemployed....the person who has the guts to take chances should be earning a lot more than someone who just puts in his/her 40 hours plus overtime....

I agree, Walmart should start paying its workers more money so that they too can become multi-millionares

Walmart's workers are free to go out and start any business that they wish...and make as much money as they want...

lets be for real..............we are stuck in the world were goods are manufactured everywhere. The problem I see is we are not all on the same playing field...........and I am not only talking wages. If NAFTA is it then lets modify NAFTA that the countries involved need to adhere to the same manufacturing standards OSHA approved and built equipment, OSHA inspect plants, Obvious most people here don't own a business or even see the amount of money it takes to bring new equipment in to produce goods. but then you go overseas Korea, China, or even North America Mexico and there view of the emplouee is who cares if they get hurt 100 ready too take there place, Wages are such a small percentage of what it truly cost too produce goods

Winx you can't give a tax break to someone who pays no tax to begin with. The bottom 50% of the wage earners in the U.S. pay 3% of the total income tax. The top 1% of the wage earners in the U.S. pay 37% of the total income tax, the top 5% of the wage earners in the U.S. pay 52% of the total income tax. Do the Math.

did ya throw in the tax loopholes the big bucks boys have?

Let's say that an upper wage earner earns $100 million and gets taxed 36% and that's $36 million. The Republican President cuts taxes 6%. This just saved the upper tax payer $6 million. That is more than the upper middle class wage earner actually earns in a year. The upper middle class person that makes $100,000 and is taxed $36,000 would only save $6,000.

Who benefits the most?

The employer who has the guts, means, and education to take the chance should be earning alot more - just not the 300-400% more that the average CEO in America earns.

I would not step on other people or take advantage of them or use them to get there i.e. low wages and no health insurance.

back when the government cared about the middle class we used to place tarrifs on goods imported to protect american workers from low wage countries, now they aggresivly expose american workers to competition overseas from workers who will work for almost nothing and expect us to match that or not work at all. I say ditch all these trade deals and if you wish free trade you must pay your workers a liveing wage. free trade is a scam for everyone involved except those who pray on the poorest of poor
