Good question. I don't have an answer.
I hear about church singles groups and museum groups. There are co-ed sports teams and volunteer organizations. |

Church Or there are plenty of sights that offer real life events to meet people based off your interstests. Books, games, etc. etc, better to meet someone who you'd be able to talk about things with anyway and share similar interests!

anywhere, dude.
the supermarket, the mall, the library, ANYPLACE THERE ARE GIRLS. its not like they shut off after 2AM and cant be met until 9 pm the next day. just approach them. the trick is to not creep them out. go out and people watch and observe some dudes and ask yourself "Does this guy get women?" if the answer is no, then ask yourself why and learn from his mistakes. if the answer is yes, then ask yourself why and do what he does. |

I was trying to figure that one out for awhile.
I've lived here 2 1/2 years; and, other than the people who work at the local groceries, gas stations, and the currency exchange, I have yet to meet anyone here. I have it on good authority from a friend in a nearby town that the only way to meet anyone here is in a bar or in a church. Neither of those is an option for me. I used to meet people through single friends, but now of the ex-single friends are married (or divorced) with 2.4 kids, and their formerly single friends are also married (or divorced) with 2.4 kids. If I was actively looking for someone at this point (and, believe me, I'm glad I'm not!), it would have to be on the internet. That's really all that's left.... |

it also helps to make as many contacts as possible.
if you expand your group, then just by playing the numbers game alone, youll meet SOMEONE. if it doesnt work out with a girl, be her friend and you could eventually meet other women through her. but dont just look for girlfriends. look for regular friends. network network network dont go to the bar to drink and drown your sorrows. go there to make friends. theres a ton of people in your immediate vicinity. suck it up and meet them. have you ever heard that youre only 6 people away from the people you want to meet? its true. but it WILL not happen if youre a reserved hermit. you gotta go where the women are. |

You can make friends just about anywhere you go. I am not the club going type but if you see someone you are interested in bite the bullet, walk up and just say hi

Anybody every tried speed dating, that sounds kinda fun. I like to think that non drinking events are better but I meet more people by having a few. I also agree that it's a numbers game and I learned this when in sales. Look forward to the no's because you'll get them out of the way sooner as the odds are there's going to be a yes. I've also made the mistake of being desperate and falling in love with the first person who comes along who acts half interested. Oh well. I sure enjoy this site and the forums, that's where it's at.
