What make us happy, now that we're older? What would you like to see happen in your life.
I like to fish as much as possible! I would love to have a full time companion! |

Hi Hikerchick, how close are you to your goal? just got back from job #2..right now I am taking my fourth master's class but sadly I could only transfer two of my previous ones. So if I survive this class I have seven more to go. How close I am to giving up the second job is anyone's guess. Let's see what next year's review and raise look like at job#1,. |

50 is just a number. If they tell you that you are over the hill...tell them that you, at least, are not under it. Not by a long mile. Remember...we don't age, we "Mature" like a good bottle of wine. Not like a carton of milk.

Four yrs ago I uprooted myself, found a new job and moved from Pa. to Tn. At this point in my life, I'm looking forward to retirement in a few years and plan to be busier than ever, after I toss the alarm clock!

At this point in my life, I'm looking forward to retirement in a few years and plan to be busier than ever, after I toss the alarm clock! That had to be quite a move! I just retired three months ago and totally feel you! My grand keeps me busier than I've ever been! I do get to sleep in though, the best thing! I am afraid though, I will be returning to some type of job though, I like money and being busy! I'll give it a year (for the grand)God willing! |

It was quite an adventure but I was at a time in my life when it made perfect sense. I don't know if I'd make the same decision today but I love it hear. I always wanted to retire where it's warm so I'm already here! I'd like to get some type of part time job after retirement, but it will be something I really enjoy doing. |

A warm climate really is nice in retirement! I love the south, I am originally from the East coast also. |
