I have met no one from this site. However, it might be because I do not have a picture posted.

I have been on eight dating sites with my pictures posted for almost 14 months. I met 11 men. I am 54 years old and the men I met supposedly ranged in age from late 40's to late 50's. However eight of the 11 I met had posted photos that were anywhere from 10 to 20 years old. When these guys showed up I had no idea who they were since their age, hair, weight, and even height did not match the picture in their profiles.

The thing that amazed me about the above was that these same guys who lied and cheated in that they posted phony pictures told me I looked younger and prettier than my photos. Then they went on to complain about how most of the women they were meeting lied about their weight and age.

The three that I met who did not lie by posting old pictures were not suitable in that one was a control freak, the second was looking for a mother for his nine-year old, and the third ..... well never mind.

Anyway, I removed my profile from all of the dating sites, except for this one. I have given up on the hope of meeting anyone and usually participate in the political forums. This is the first dating forum I have posted in.

I have talked to quite a few people and it is my understanding that with those over 40 that both the men and women lie about their appearance by posting old pictures. Personally, I cannot understand it. Why would you or I or anyone want anything to do with someone who posts a pic that is 10 to 20 years old and then claims it is okay since he/she still looks the same!?

An example of the above ...... I was supposed to meet a guy who was in his mid-50's who was tall, trim, and had a full head of hair, and a really great smile, nice straight white teeth. The guy who showed up was in his late 60's, maybe early 70's, and was average height, overweight, and the little bit of hair he had was grey, and his teeth were in need of serious dental work.

Sorry..... I have gone on and on, but I am bitter and angry over all the liars I have met on the Internet and found that I no longer trust men.
