{quote}And mercinaries, according to Article 47:
shall not have the right to be a combatant or a prisoner of war. The Conventions, as Ace mentions in his post, are built upon mutual obligations. When one side has no regard for rules of war, the protections of those rules no longer apply to them. Makes it open season on Blackwater and the other so called 'security' firms there. They are as bad as insurgents if not worse since they 'represent' a 'friendly' force. |

its a pitty the (insurgents) people fighting in there own country by the way
news flash.....nearly all the terrorists in Iraq are not from Iraq... ummm I've gotten shot at by Iranian snipers.... maybe not most but a very large number of the insurgents we captured turned out to be from Iran and Syria... Just letting you know. And there was substantial evidence during my stay there that Iran was giving insurgents supplies/training. |

I wish it was all as easy as some people think. The news media only reports sensational things. If nothing is happening, no news. Iraq, my son's special surgicalunit is BORED. Been there since August & have only treated 6 American combat casualties.
Maybe before we make all the decisions, we need to go there & see the TRUTH. Might change a lot of comments that are made about the situation. Just an old man's thoughts. |
