'In love'? No. Have love and affection? Yes. Not something I hide from my current love either. As I started reading this thread, all I could think was, well of course I still love them. Just not in the same way, or with any passion. More as in I loved what we had and what I learned from it. After all, without them, I'd not have met the wonderful, amazing guy I'm with now. I love them for that, even if for nothing else. So then I read this and I think... just another example of why I love him. 
Once you love someone, truly love them.. it does not go away. It changes, fades, evolves.... but some part of it always remains. |
