Okay, this is really confusing. Ken is this YOUR cousin or a request being passed thru the internet?

I KNOW it's a valid request, and a real person .. that's not what I'm asking. I just want to know if he's your cousin? Cuz we gave Deb grief for making it sound like he was hers, when he wasn't and if he's not yours either .. well, it's only right the record be set straight. Just because ...

I'm sending a card no matter what .. but I just think it only right we know of what we speak

(I am very sorry if this offends anyone that I am asking, & Ken if he is your cousin I am so sorry about his situation., but I for one need to know. Sorry. It's just a matter of principle .. I wanna help either way.)

To set the record straight, no the guy is not my cousin.
This email was sent to my twin sister from the cousin which is the same lady that belongs to the church. My sister knows her personally. My sister sent it to me because she knows that I know a lot of people, and that I have a lot of friends that I would send this too.
I apollogize to anyone that feels like they were deceived.
I have a soft heart, and am always helping people when I can, and my sister knows this as well.

I am in the process to find out how this guy is doing, and to find out how many cards he has received so far, I will keep everyone posted

I will try to send a card... This topic made me cry as I lost a friend I had known for 9 years to brain cancer about a year ago.. He died shortly after his 32nd birthday.

I have an update on Gene the guy that had asked for Birthday cards to be sent to him. If you would like to see what he looks like give me an email address, and I will forward you the email.

Many of you have asked about Gene. He is NOT my cousin, but the cousin of Eileen Young from NInnekah who is in my MK unit. There is still time to get a birthday card to him if you hurry! The address is: GENE GARDNER at Bible Baptist Church , POBox 450935, Grove, OK 74345. To update you: he has been battling brain tumors since 1999 and is close to losing the battle. His 25th birthday is Wed., March 5th and his pastor's wife is conducting a huge card drive. They are also trying to get his brother, Dale, home from Iraq in time to celebrate with him. He has lost the use of his right side, but is learning to be a "lefty". My School of the Arts choirs made cards for him and I know there are people all over the country -and the world- sending cards so I'm anxious to hear just how many he will get.
