Now as far as what happened with my marriage. it was NOT ME that was UNFAITHFUL, it was NOT ME who accidently "Had Sex", it was the WOMAN I was with and I myself would not stay with someone who wants to have sex with everyone in sight. I did quite clearly post my feminist views.... so lilith401 are you a feminist? : No, I do not define myself as such. That is not one of the definitions I conform to, such as woman, mother, friend, daughter, employee, etc. I do believe in the principle of the feminist movement, but not to the extremist point. I'm for the automony of my body, to equality in pay, and to not be discriminated against in areas of obvious equality. That said, I do believe in and conform to very "traditional" and some would say sexist, gender roles. Simply put, feminism as a term must be agreed upon before I agree to accept or adopt it into my circles of self definition. So then you are saying we are all to blame for the fact we have had failed/ended relationships... and you are not? You just admitted to the fact you would not forgive your wife, what happened to your vows? For better for worse, in sickness and in health, as long as you both shall live? Did you not take those seriously??? |

I don't understand how the changing of roles between men and women has an effect on morals 
For example, There has been an increase in divorces since the feminist movement, that's a fact. Divorce creates instability within a family, thus corrupting morals. Let me get this straight.... Feminist movement. Then increased divorce. Then corrupted morals... Do I have that right? Try this on for size..... The weather gets hot. People buy more ice cream... the rape rate increases. According to your logic, Totage... hot weather means women are more likely to get raped. Just because things happen in a timeline or at a rate that is sequential or seemingly related to another "fact".... SO does not make it true. Ever heard of correlation? Statistical probability? I'm not saying feminism is the only reason, I'm saying it has a part in the moral corruption. There are many other reasons as well. How does it contribute to moral corruption? What is your source? |
