Topic: Valentines and the ex | |
---|---|
i was looking around at valentine ecards to send to a few friends and i came across one in particular that was really funny and i thought that it would be something that my ex might appreciate for a laugh...but then i hesitated on the thought....
we only just broke up in recents days and it was a harsh break up but i thought seeing as its nothing lovey dovey or i miss u crap that it should be ok to send it...thinking it might even relieve some anxiety that theres no hard feelings that he might appreciate the joke... any thoughts?? |

IMHO it would not be a good idea. Too soon. Get the card, save it till next year, then see how things stand.

Well, it's been 2 months to the day since our divorce was finalized.
I sent my ex-wife a card. Nothing mushy... just a cartoon card with "Woodstock" (From Peanuts) on the front with a paintbrush, and on the inside, it looks like splattered paint with the words "Happy Valentines Day" painted on the wall in different colors. Just wrote a simple "Thinking of you! -- Robby" on the inside and mailed it. After 18 years of friendship (11.5 of those married), I felt I should send her something. She had the affair, she left... I just want her to know she still has a friend. |

Just need to let her go. She was no good for you and you are going to have a harder time let her go if you keep sending her stuff. Time to move on!!! You can do better then that!
