Just as all religions have at times made mistakes, all clergy are not perfect either. To be a credentialed clergy carries no weight with me. This is not to say anything negative toward you in any way whatsoever. But... in all honesty there are many people who are credentialed clergy of one faith or another who are absolute fruit loops. Someone in authority, such as clergy, must gain my respect. I do though RESPECT everyones right to seek the truth for themselves. I do feel that it does not serve mankind for me to try to shove my belief down their throat. And though I might not agree with other's thinking, they are at least thinking. I do enjoy talking about peoples views, but I think that trying to tell a person you are right and they are wrong, has an adverse affect on the entire situation. I have learned from my mistakes in that area and choose to affect other's lives in a more positive manner which might lead them to an understanding of what and whom I serve. I now allow people to think for themselves. When the opportunity opens itself up for me to say something that might be inciteful... I will. Otherwise, I try to live my life as a real person of faith.

The Scientologists fear a being that they call Xenu and claim to be opposed to an alien presence on the Earth called the Thetans.

uhm...it's not a secret, they are not a 5013c (which is a legally recongnized church)...thus they do not need bi-laws.

Actually they are a recognized church in most countries including the United States and U.K.

From the information I have posted here it looks like they believe in slave labor, making children live away from their parents, not giving medicine to people that need it desperately like the Epileptic mentioned. They must believe in lying about the life of there founder and their founder looks like he was probably crazy at the end of his life. All things that you can find out just by reading the few things I have posted.

Oh in closing it looks like they have a hotel that people die at mysteriously. Doesn't sound as fun as the Disney experience. Id say stay away from their hotels.

But havn't all the other religions killed and harmed more people than Scientology?.

I understand what your saying rabbit, but I grew up and still live in a very religious community and alot of those practices are engaged in by "christian" churches in my local community.

Scientology is a tax exempt, 501(c)(3) organization.

They don't legally have to publish any doctrine or teachings of their religion.
