Bad Religion, The Ramones, Sex Pistols, Misfits, Dropkick Murphy's, Propagandhi, The Exploited...great bands in punk music, honorable mentions: Nine Inch Nails, Static X (kind of), System of a Down. Punk is never going to die, we're just sleeping.

ummmm lets see, hard to say what are my favorites, but i dig on stuff like agent orange, blitz, the business, oxymoron, the briefs, the subhumans, secretions, ummmmmmmmmmm, the buzzcocks,black flag, bad brains, some of the even what i refer to as the bubblegum punk stuff(most sucks) like face to face strung out, pennywise, nofx, then i go to stuff like atari teenage riot, minor threat, sick of it all, agnostic front, the cure, kmfdm, ministry(first show when i was 14-played with kmfdm). man, i like so much more its crazy. music is huge to me, got me through the worst of times and helped me celebrate the best of times

what i wanna know is do people actually earn points for being so cool to be able to say what is punk,hardcore, metal, etc. hey, theres a fine line with a lot of it. and i agree, dont tell me that most underground bands wouldnt jump to get signed to a label where they could make some loot, get better equipment, etc etc

Ive never really been into punk rock Im more of a hardcore fan.
but 2of my favoite bands who I will never be able to see live cuz the lead singers are dead, are sublime and snot! who I dont consider punk rock,but some people do.

punk rock has no meaning anymore.
