I have no idea why age has to be such a big deal. Age and distance, those are the 2 main reasons I don't get many dates.

Well, age does make a difference. If you're like 20 and the other person is like 35-40 I don't see that as a good thing. Some people it may not bother but I would rather not date someone old enough to be my mother. I guess some people just prefer to date someone along their own maturity level and I think no matter how mature a 20 year old is they aren't ready for a relationship with someone 40 because of the difference in experience and other factors that only come when you get older.

it should not matter about age. age is nothing but a number. it should be about how u connect with the person and how u like their profile.

For me personally age is of little relevance. Unfortunately for the majority it is. Another silly taboo.
There have been a number of times I've read a post someone has made and looked at their profile only to discover that they're 18 or 62. This doesn't bother me but I've often wondered what they were thinking about me viewing their profile.

I get young ladies younger than my kids checking me out!!

Well I just want to add that I think AGE is just a "state of mind." I have met all kinds of people, from all walks of life, many with varied ages. "Age" is an attitude more so than anything else. I for one dont see a problem with two people, who have a large gap of years between them, dating. As long as they "connect" then so be it. As far as it being "right" or "wrong", and the opinions of others...all that matters little to me. Whats right for one person may be wrong for another and I really dont care what others think when it comes to who I meet start to care about. It me and my mates life and why should I care what other people think if I truly love the other person..even if I was 18 and they were 60.

if i look at someones profile and theyre alot younger than me im always worried that they might think im a perv ,let alone e-mail them than they might think ima perv stalker,of course im not but they dont know that ... <---perv stalker..

uhhhhhhhhhhh I like people around my age......to go out with......too young and its like being with my son, yuck, phfew, ewwwwwwww get that nasty taste out of my mouth!!! Can you say mini throw up?

chemistry is everything. what young person doesn't like the right vintage car, and vise versa. To each their own. I just love people i guess, but it's the giving that's great. sexually, i find that great differances in age are fun, non threatening, so to speak, because the moment is far more important, it is less likely that the people involved will place some bigger importance on being together.

Hmmmmmmvery interesting thread.....now that I'm over 30, I have alot of younger guys intersted in me but are afaid to ask me out, so toinght I went screw it, asked a younger guy out this tonight at the gym and now I've got a date this weekend. Now on the other end, I'm not interested in any one who is alot older than me.
