When you have sent messages, they have been read, and you see the person online but get no kind of response.

I get the drift, but it feels worse to me to get no response.

maybe that's why they do it....to make you feel worse. Either way, I wouldn't let it bother me at all. If people are like that then why would you want them as friends?

it happends to me all the time. I'm so use to it that it's no different from any one not replying to me onthe forum. **** happens and we go on

yeah tell me about it......i'll clear out the views and the same people will be lookin again, so i send them a general "hi how ya doing" message and still don't get no response

What I find funny is they look at your profile a million times, you e-mail them and they don't respond

I find the whole thing kind of funny, actually. If they don't respond, no great loss on my part and a potentially huge one on theirs.

How can a person you've never met bother you? Do you get personally offended when someone cuts you off in traffic or cuts in line at the coffeeshop? Think of it this way, many people run through life with tunnelvision on. The impersonality of Internet dating magnifies this.

Of course, these statements take into account you have a full and complete profile and your e-mail message is not a "mass mailing" and clearly is intended for the reader with personalized touches and specific intent. Not just wanting a response, that is.

The man I'm involved with now... I used to read his posts all the time and wanted to e-mail him for a few weeks but never did. I added him to my friends list, but my parameters blocked him from mailing me. After about a week I sent him a mail telling him how certain I was that I was missing out, as he lives 2000 miles away. Turns out I was missing out, big time! He just went home after spending a week here with me and I cannot wait to see him again. So my point is, make it personal. But don't take it personal.

Hello: I can see why that would be annoying. On my part i would like to claime Ignorances. I do not know how to have a converstion on the forum or an instant message converstion.

Two I'm just checking out one forum then hopping to another box. Could someone tell me how to have an instance converstion ?

Most of the time when I e-mail someone first, he will read it, but then he won't send me a reply. I hate when they do that! At least tell me you aren't interested, or something! I feel like that is inconsiderate, just to ignore the mails.
