Hi I am a Catholic and a fulltime student.
I need to find someone to help me answer some questions for an interview essay. The problem is I don't know anyone who dosen't believe in Jesus. You see I give my answers and then you give yours and I compare in the essay. So if any non-believer would be so kind to help me I would greatly appriciate it. If you do believe in Jesus go ahead and post it might be intresting:) Here is the first set of questions and my answer: 1. Do you practice religion?. Yes If so, which one? Yes, Catholicism a. Why or why not? I practice Catholicism because I was raised Catholic and I believe what I was taught, for the most part |

Here is the first set of questions and my answer: 1. Do you practice religion?. Yes If so, which one? Yes, Catholicism a. Why or why not? I practice Catholicism because I was raised Catholic and I believe what I was taught, for the most part 1. No A. I don't really practice any religion because it's not an important aspect to my life, the religious people I have come into contact with have been pushy and over-bearing, giving me a bad taste in my mouth towards Christianity. Plus, I look at the history of a religion, it's a hobby of mine. If I were to choose a religion to study, practice and follow I would go with a Pagan based religion or Taoism. (Please understand, I am not putting anyone down...my observations and opinions have been formed by my own personal experiences and do not reflect everyone from that religion. Just the ones I have met. Thanks! ) |

I don't practice religion and it's basically because I believe that a lot of the doctrine is based upon the bible. The bible I believe is to corupted by mans hand to really know what is true and what is fabricated. We know it to be true over the years that various leaders religious and otherwise altered the bible to suit their own ends. So, while I beleive in god and his son I don't subscribe to a mainstream religion because it robs you of you of the ability to question.

I guess it means finding a faith or belief that "fits" how you feel inside. Choosing a path of life with others who share similiar beliefs, morals, guidelines, etc etc. I'm not really sure, beyond a dictionary deffinition. A. I'm sort of a spiritual person...I believe there is something bigger than us, but as to what name to call it I couldn't tell you. Nor could I tell you what that "Something" wants us to do on this earth aside from live our lives as best we can. |

Thanks for the extra thought Scinn
#3. What do you think it means to be a follower of _________? (Fill in the blank with either your particular religion or atheist or agnostic) I think Catholicism is basically believing in Jesus and also believing in the original founding of Christianity. |

No problem hon :) Just tryin to give as full of an answer as I can to help you out #3. Agnostic: Basically, I think it's those of us who, rather than believing there is nothing after death, nothing bigger than ourselves and no religion - believe that there is something, we just havn't found it yet. So, we're open to the possibilities, but we're still searching for that thing that clicks and says "yes! That's it!" |

That is pretty Honest
#4What is the single most important aspect of your religion to you, and why? Jesus. Jesus is the single most important aspect of my religion because without Jesus in the picture I would not be religious at all. |

However, I can say that one of the single most important aspects that I look for in a religion is the foundation upon which it stands. Which covers a lot of different aspects, but basically a truth, honesty, the history, etc. Some of it is hard to put into words as it's more of a feeling than anything else, and I don't want to accidentally offend anyone |
