It is instant attraction, not sure about infatuation. That has total negative connotations to it! It takes time to develop true love. How long does it take?
1. How well does the couple know what True Love is! 2. How willing is this to be open to the idea of true love! 3. How fast do the develop communication and total trust! 4. Are they will to wait for true love to develop. 5 They don't rush the relationship through the stages of development. |

^^^ ya but that can be construed to be 'lust' not 'love' We fall in love with the idea of falling in love. Exactly Fade! The idea of being loved fully by another is what forces people into that "emotion". |

do u believe u can fall in love once u meet someone? You mean after talking online? Maybe, but love is like a plant, it starts out as a seed, when place in the right soil, and given proper care, it will grow, and blossom. |

I can't fall in love right away it just isn't me, I have had guys ask me to marry them after just talking to me for a little bit. I ask them why they ask why not? I mean they don't even truly know me and they have never seen me in person or even heard my voice...but they swear they know me!! lol this is the funniest thing ever, How can you tell someone you love them and want to marry them after an hour of imming?? The worst part about all this is they were as seriouse as a heartatack...This scares me really!!!
Now if I tell someone "I LOVE YOU!" then I mean just that but believe me it will take a while before I go there, I will say "LUV YA!" and that is what we all use twords our friends!! I think the word "I LOVE YOU" get's thrown around to much without knowing it's true meaning or just disrespecting the meaning all together!!! |

“It takes a minute to have a crush on someone, an hour to like someone and a day to love someone - but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.” hmmm I don't know. I forgot a guy who treated me badly. Never gave him another thought ............... |

Of course you can fall in love at first meet, happens all the time, and for half it's awesome for 30 years or more.
The other half, it was at a bar or internet so go figure lol. |

Here is my main gripe with "love" and how people use the word. See, I remember back in high school how, as teenagers, you would date someone and you would write on your book cover, or your folders, how "I love this person". Yeah, it is innocent, but I can also remember there were some kids back then who firmly believed they were in love. Then, two weeks later, you break up cause you love some other person? Yeah...that sure as heck was love.
This just shows how we take "love" for granted. We feel something for someone in that moment we like them, and assume we are in love with them. Hell, you see it on TV all the damn time. Look at Soap Operas. How many times has a chic on one of those shows been in love and married? Maybe 10 times? And celebrities. We say they don't influence us, but look at how marriage is viewed in Hollywood. It means squat to actually believe in love out there. Another problem is that some feel that having great sex with someone means that they are falling in love with them. They base a relationship on sex....the physical. Not any actual feelings they have, except for the feeling of being sexually satisfied (Nothing wrong with this, but a relationship cannot be solely based around this.). Sex with someone you care for and love is an added benefit. I can honestly remember a time when love meant something. Thing is, we don't talk the way we used to. We don't mean things the way we used to. We don't stand by what we say, cause in today's world, it is all about "Me" and the whole instant gratification thing. Until we start to give a damn about what we say, meaning it, and knowing it to be what we want, and not only caring about our own personal feelings....I just don't see things changing. |

Lots of TV is nothing but porn so forget it. I loved friday nights with Dukes of Hazzard then Knight Rider then quit at 10 for porn nighttime but nowadays 8 is primetime and Prime News is somebody getting killed or a lying politican, nothing good til the middle or end.
How many people do you see that put up with the stress of $20+/hour job for 40 years til retirement but quit the marriage and kids at 10 years? They make a new fulltime family. Hell, now we have Universities such as U of K, U of L, Western KY, Eastern KY, etc that will pay for domestic partner benefits(not married) so to attract top professors??? What a way to teach our future about love, committment, and family forever not to mention how to run our country LMAO! Even married Governor Beshear said he won't VETO a new legislation banning that! It all comes down to parts of society that has changed to let the outside influence the home to a dangerous degree hence all the cheating and divorce. Please Be Smart! |
