Well here is a tale that not all start or end that way.... My step mom was a mail order bride from the Ukraine, she has a masters degree in finance because there education is stressed highly. My dad jokingly showed me pics of women and asked who I would like as my step mom (and they say kids never listen? Well he didn't pick my choice lol   ) (thankfully ) They have been together for 5 years now. Natasha is the best despite her being a few years older than me, she has been the best thing for him in all aspects. Now she has a Russian/Texan drawl.... But my dad found her on a bride mail order site... so Happy Ending Here...

While I am sure there are negative situations on mail order brides, I hear only the men complain..... There is a scam behind this, more prevalent here in Europe, similar to brides from Thailand, can't really blame them life is very hard in Russia and Eastern-european countries, we have alot of them here, their economy is appalling and life very hard. Have come across a couple of them in work, and they are to be pitied.

Celtic was just making a point that while some situations are not the best (scamming occurs everywhere...) but for my dad I know first hand he had an excellent experience so adding a testimony that it does work... got to use your head.

i get the scammers all the time but i can detect a scammer with just one question... "how are you?" their reply "not so good".their next reply will be something about how they are stuck in Africa and either need money for rent or need money for the trip back to the U.S.the scammers even have a music video out talking about how American's are stupid!
