Who remembers the song? I Know i do.... and as of late, ive practiced it to a T.
Sometimes honesty can be brutal, but why lie about something when the truth supposedly "sets you free" Does anyone else practice this policy of truth? if so, has it bitten you yet/ Is there such a thing as being TOO honest? Please discuss |

That's an AWESOME song!!
I don't claim to practice anything but music and keeping my ego on low heat.... I can't say I never lie, I can't say that I'm not brutally honest though either... But it is an amazing tune. Depeche Mode has allot of great material... |

dun know the song sorry You had something to hide Should have hidden it, shouldn't you Now you're not satisfied With what you're being put through It's just time to pay the price For not listening to advice And deciding in your youth On the policy of truth Things could be so different now It used to be so civilised You will always wonder how It could have been if you'd only lied It's too late to change events It's time to face the consequence For delivering the proof In the policy of truth Never again is what you swore The time before Never again is what you swore The time before Now you're standing there tongue tied You'd better learn your lesson well Hide what you have to hide And tell what you have to tell You'll see your problems multiplied If you continually decide To faithfully pursue The policy of truth Never again is what you swore The time before Never again is what you swore The time before |

thats the problem though most people see the problems multiplied and think lies cover up those problems and they are happy with that point of view (be it about there selfs or other things
i try to follow truth but i've even been happy with a pretty lie now and again |

I have had to tone my brutal honesty down over the years after discovering that even when you tell someone that you are just being honest it does not soften the blow. I am still honest to a fault, just not as brutal with it as I used to be.

I try very hard to be honest, but I will tell a white lie to save someones feelings or something like that.
For example, If a fat girl ask me if her pants make her ass look big Im going to say no. I guess thats not really a lie, becasue honestly its not her pants making her ass look big, its her fat ass. Ok, different example. Lets assume its really is the pants to some extent. I would tell her no. |
