Same reason people find it strange that i'm a male and 18 and that i WANT kids... i personally don't know what's so strange with that... >.>

I agree. I was a burden when I was a child. I dont understand why this world needs more children. They take up so much time and money. Kids just seem to be such a waste of time and money. What does a person get out of it ?? I like to deal with my problems,not suffer from them for 18 to life.

I feel sorry for you. Just wait until you're old and you have no family to care and love you... It will be a lonely place... It's good that you know you don't want kids but to say they are all a burden and act as if they are nothing but trouble is a sick statement, and soooooo not true!!!

Its fine to want and not to want kids. To each his/her own. Years ago I didn't want kids. I have one and am very glad I do. But NO MORE for me.

I just dont see it as a negative thing. Ive thought about this subject alot over the last few years. I feel like I have lived a more fullfilled life and I have a lot more freedom than my friends and family that have kids. Ive gotten to do things over the past 12 years that I wouldnt have been able to do, if I did what just about everybody else does and have a bunch of kids. Im mostly happy with my life and I seem to be a lot more financially stable than people I know who have kids. Ive gotten to travel wherever I want,made a LOT of money and its mine, all mine.

I think women like to have kids so they can get child support.I had a step mom who had 10 illigitamite kids and she was bringing home so much child support money she did not have to work.

NO I am fine with you saying that you don't want kids and I totally respect that honest. I just was a little sickened by you saying that they are burdens and cost too much and trouble. They aren't they are loving and give back way more than they take. They love unconditionally and I would of never been able to get through my divorce without them. That's all. I am really glad you know that you don't want kids. Please just don't lump them all into the category of trouble and a bother, and a waste of time because they really aren't..

Well I have always worked and I put myself through college. I am divorced and own my own business and a home and raise my two lil angels so all women don't live off of welfare. I don't think most women do either..

i think it's...better to not have children if you don't want them because it's not fair to the CHILD...it's not about money or freedom. it's about the huge and awesome responsibility of bringing a new person into the world.

A burden is something that is UNWANTED. Those who have kids wanted them, therefore they are not a burden to them.

I have a family. The one I was born with. I love them with all my heart as they love me. I didnt mean to make out like I had a "LOT of money". Im just saying that whats mine is mine. And I take a lot of comfort knowing that when I make a mistake in life, I am the ONLY one who suffers.
