some misspelling but can figure stuff out
some people spell by sound and some have trouble altogether that is what makes the world go round. |

Differences in spelling is what makes the world go round??? Here I thought it was always round... In the forums here it's not such a big deal. Heck, you're typing away trying to get your witticism in while the topic is still hot. But in the profile a person is trying to present oneself in the best light... right?? Then again perhaps that IS the best light... |

* Forgetting that mommy is possessive also and requires an apostrophe s. It was "Mommy and Daddy's" basement. Collective possessive. Sumbody neads to learn you gooder english! Yup, you would use "Mommy's and Daddy's" if you were referring to separate objects individually owned, as in "Mommy's and Daddy's cars." (Mommy has hers, Daddy has his.) Singular object, jointly owned, and "Mommy and Daddy's" is the collective. I think I just had an orgasm. |

For good measure I would like to say those that do not use a comma or period drive me crazy. I once received an email from a gentleman on another site that had to be 600 words and not a single comma or period. When I asked if he knew where the period key on his keyboard was, he called me everything but a white woman.

Which one thing drives you the craziest?
I think I hate the confusion of your and you're the most. |
It would have to be "your" and "you're" simply because I see it more than the others.

Which one thing drives you the craziest? I think I hate the confusion of your and you're the most. Yeah -- your and you're There, their, and they're Too and to (two is more rarely misused) Loose and lose No and know Thing and think Anything with a misplaced apostrophe (two dog's in the back yard) Realtionship Freind ....and about 50,000 more.... |

WOW
That's a toss up... the your/you're thing is pretty common but what about then/than or there/their/they're? Or to/too? Another one that really makes me scratch my head is are/our. What the samhill are you thinking?? Those aren't even CLOSE in meaning or spelling! |
I just noticed another one because it is on the first page of forum topics... and that is the misuse of is/are depending on singular or plural.

My favorite is "mabey" instead of maybe. I mean, come on--the word is two words joined to make one--may and be. Can't we all find agreement on that one?
