Those calls to you at work,
Just to tell you that I love you.
The little card, I attach to flowers,
It's those little things I do.

The notes on the mirror,
I leave for you to see,
When you step out of the shower
And sigh tenderly.
Soft kisses on your cheek,
Just before you go to sleep.
I do this to make you gladder because,
It's the little things that matter.

It's those little things that keep you interested,
They might make you love me forever.
Call it time vested.

Even the make up sex,
After a small fight.
My goodness the earth moves,
I forget who's wrong or right.

So I ask how can there be love,
If we live only day by day?
With no special moments made,
For thoughts of yesterday.

The love I have goes even further,
Perhaps further than it should.
I will love you for eternity,
Yes, it's that good.

The foot massages I give,
When you had a long day.
Or just making dinner because it's 50/50,
I promised you one day.

Those for no reason whispers,
To show you I care.
Those sensual looks I get from you,
When you're in my lap upon the chair.

It's the little things you appreciate and treasure,
Oh how they brighten up your day.
Little things bring you pleasure,
I wouldn't have it any other way.
