Topic: Question about responses | |

Am I looking at this correctly. If you send someone a message and get back a polite but abreviated response, it indicates a lack of interest in continuing coorespondence. Thats my opinion, am I right or wrong.

Uhhhhhhh.... sometimes wrong.
Sometimes, I answer so the person knows I'm reading my mail, but I'm too busy to give a full answer right at that second. (I work at home and busy happens....) |

Agreed... LOL... I just realized how short that answer was...

generally yes, or it could mean they really didn't have an answer. ask them something a little complicated to answer and if you get another very short response then yeah, your wasting your time....

I'm sayin, if someone doesn't respond in a complete sentence with suggested interest.. goin nowhere...
not always... may just be a matter of someone having something else going on at that particular moment

From what I hear from the other guys on here if you get a response that is a good thing. I don't know that it means she is interested in anything more than friendship but a response is okay from my understanding. HTH

I don't know, since I stopped e-mailing anybody first months ago since I never got any replies anyway.

Really, I just checked your profile and I'd have to say if a chick gave you a short response after looking at it, you're shunned.
Sorry, deal with. Seriously, Opie, are you 39? No offense meant. |
yeah, Im 39.
They arent rude replies or anthing, just short. I dont want to bother people that arent interested. Especialy when they were polite enought to reply in the first place. |

Yeah, I kinda see what you mean. You should respond again to them.. if they don't reply theres your answer. If they do.. there is you answer..

Basically my thought is, regardless of how short the response is it woudl include a way to keep it goign if you were intrested. Like ask a question or make a comment on my profile for example.
I dont know, I guess I will go with the two e-mail rule and see what happens there. I have made lots of friends on here which is great as well. |

I agree with sometimes people are just busy. E-mail whomever again and see.
