I thought this site was a bit more legitimate, but almost every message has been fake, or the profile is, and no real substance. How can we get with somebody who really lives in your area? There is no vetting by the site? Probably too difficult. I have received about 25 messages, and none are real. They start with such an opening statement how great I am, but then once I start messaging about where, when, or something more than going to an offsite site, then it is done. FYI.

waving Doug.. welcome to M2

that's the downside to a free dating site, the plethora of scammers and fraudsters.. and yes.. there's TONS of fake profiles.. which sucks really.. the site is rife with them.. however.. joining the community and posting on the forums will allow (mostly) to meet new people and eventually find REAL ones you can relate and potentially meet up with in the near future..

Ideally look at the "joined" date and the # of posts.. that typically gives you an idea if the person has been around awhile or not.. plus MOST regulars or real people fill out their profiles.. and the about me to a greater extent.. oh and.. before you reply to a "newbie" click their name (in orange next to their pic/non pic) and it'll tell you if that person is still active or been booted

good luck and wishing you all the success drinker

Thanks Zee for the tips, I will do that. So, you are saying post in the forum, and that might be better to meet real people?

And, success to you also.
