In my experience it really depends on the issue and the two people in the relationship, and the level of patience they have with whatever issue they're having and they're level of patience with eachother. Not recommended if you have neither trust nor patience that the LDR will become a short distance relationship. Hope my vague answer helped, kinda. Good luck out there!
