Tenderly pushes a strand of hair away

They draw a smooth finger down my face
I lean into it drawing the comfort you’re giving
I turn my head my eyes watching yours
I press my lips against that comforting finger
My heart races with feeling and emotions
for what is about to come…
I place my free hand against your chest
Your heart races as well?
You smile at my surprise glance
Grasping my hands you kneel
And my heart stops, my eyes hold yours
You said tonight would be the night

And it is

You ask me to be yours forever
You love me…
Your eyes tell me the truth in your words

I fall to my own knees
Tears falling down my cheeks
I kiss you, your eyelashes, your beautiful lips
And realize that salty taste is not just my tears
It is precious to my heart to see a couple quiet tears
…fall down your cheeks though your eyes smile with joy

I lean in to kiss, gentling it sweetly
Is that a yes your lips murmur against mine
I smile
And whisper, yes

You know I’ll be yours forever
I’ll live with you, share my life and soul with you


Because, simply, I love you
That is all that matters
I love you
That phrase covers everything
That I trust, like, care about you

Simply because I love you and you love me
…Will I marry you and be yours forever

(Wishing all happy ‘hunting’. And no this isn’t a hint. I have not found someone yet. I’m talking to a guy, yes, but we’re far from that stage. We’ve yet to even discuss meeting and who knows if we ever will…if we don’t, I’ve found another friend…if we do…still might be just friends…but thing again. Who really know but the Lord. This is just a poem from my heart to all yours I hope for such happiness to find you)

Well Tiff, I must say that was really touching to say the least. It made me quiver too. I could feel the love in that whole poem, all except that part about the childbearing thing. The rest was fantastic. Loved it.
