I usually hate the fact that so many people rip on "necroing" old threads. Cuz it's very often done in order to update them with relevant information. Especially since those old threads so often pop up at the top of a Google search.

But I'll give you that on this site. Seriously, why do so many threads with weak topics like "what are you doing today?" End up with like, 900 posts..

But it's difficult to even find an interesting thread that isn't at least several pages long, at which point your comment is getting buried at the back of it, and under anyone that comments after.
