i guess freedom of speech dosent apply to this site. i had my thread deleted last night for apparently being abusive. how ridiculious is that?

there is no freedom of speech on a privately owned web forum

its not ridiculous if you were being abusive...u can NOT attack anyone or cause drama...that's what it says...give up the pity post...if it was deleted..there was a good reason

Though I once had a thread almost deleted that was a review of a book i didn't like and I said so. I siad nothing to offend anyone, but people thought that the negative remarks towards the books were enough to delete the tyhread lol.

i remember the thread. even posted in it. i dont think you were being abusive, i think it was deleted b/c some of the others were being abusive towards you.

I think this is probably an issue the site admin could answer better? I understand you're venting but it is their site and it's free so they do get to monitor the posts...Online free boards are not the best option for expressing arguements about how the site is run... they own it and we're not paying for it so we have no expectations of much of free speech or anything else. Just my opinion after dealing with many free online boards and chat rooms. I'm sorry I didn't see your post so I don't know what the issue was but I did learn long ago free sites are free and if I'm not paying I can't argue with their decisions regarding deleting posts.
