Sanctions takes time to go into effect. Right now, Russian oil isn't being too welcomed here. The russian stock market has been shut down since this started. Russian ruble has fallen in value. Like it was worth much to begin with? 1.3 cents per US dollar on Monday, now it's worth one cent. It did fall off about 40%, that's something.
Putin has already been charged with war crimes by Ukraine, for attacking civilians. Two major no-no's has happened already, carpet bombing, and planting land mines around that major nuclear power plant.

In order to try Putin, after this is all done, you have to catch him. I'll guess, he will never be able to set one foot outside his country ever again. Lindsey Graham has said putin should be assassinated, but the USA won't allow that. It doesn't mean it has been talked about behind closed doors in government. Graham has been getting blowback for his remarks.
We'll just have to weather this mess out for now.

The verbal conflict is escalating and Scandinavian governments and media has clearly chosen side as has all other EU countries.
In Czechia it’s now illegal to voice opinion against Ukraine and western countries.
Swedish media says nothing about it but concentrate on Russian media lock down.
Swedish anti tank missiles has now arrived in Ukraine and can be used to kill people.
It’s just a matter of time before a western gun carrying plane will be shot down and further escalate the situation.

There are some other stories that Graham Phillips has done that can be watched, not only about this conflict. They seems like from an neutral observer but some biasness can be observed, but it’s mild compared to western news agencies.
Russias biggest enemy is actually their language. Even though many Russians and for that matter Ukrainians speak English, western people don’t. This language barrier cannot be broken and western readers/viewers are only seeing one side of things while many Russians see both.
Translators don’t always translate correctly and the recipient having no knowledge, get misinformed. Russian speaking translators in western countries may have moved from Russia because of many things. As a world leader I would not trust a person translating. Better use google.
I have military training as a low ranking officer. It doesn’t make me an expert of course. But when you want to defend a position you don’t stand in the open wielding a sword against the enemy any longer. Rarely you have a bunker to defend so you choose a building or a moat to post.
When enemy approach and you choose to engage with weapons. The enemy can respond with fire or retreat. If you fire upon them expect that the building/position you are in will be damaged or destroid .
In many cases when you retreat you have to destroy the building yourself or the enemy can use it against you. This is called the burnt soil tactic. Leave nothing useful behind that the enemy can use. The enemy on the other hand will want as much as possible to remain so it can be used.
Clearly in this conflict the Ukrainian government blames the Russians for everything and that include objects them they self, destroy. Western media are gullible and believe everything without any facts. Soon the Russians will be blamed of making lamp shades out of the skin from Ukrainians.
History repeats itself and lies are flying everywhere!
Lastly, an advice. Since Visa, Mastercard and Paypal has frozen and stopped to work in Russia you can expect that the same will happen in Ukraine and consequently any other country that will in the future be involved on “enemy” side.
Including occupied countries. Thus meaning that cards will not work. If possible change to a domestic card. In the long run cards, cash and accounts will lose value or stop working.
