I don't see the wax coke bottles with the sticky syrup in them.. or wax lips. I haven't checked eBay, though.

There is a candy store near Cleveland, Ohio. They carry all of that type of candy from when we were kids.

There's also a store in Jackson Wyoming I worked there...really there's a company called Squire Boone that sells it to tourists stores....

I still love TMNT and I have a Popple as well. You never see any of this because of hte fact that Kids dont care anymore... its all about what they wnat no matter what. They wanna grow-up to be Brittny and PAris wannabes. it is saddening. Hell, Im 23 and ive heard Billy Idol on lp and 33. Mommas dont let your babies grow-up to be Cowboy on 8-track. and i still say yes Sir and No ma'am and run when momma get mad, but im there when she needs me. Im a dyin breed i know, and it scares me to know what the world will become when us last few Gentlemen and these supposed Dino's are put into the ground and forgetten.

Here's going way back.... Popsicles used to have two sticks and Mom would break the Popsicle in half so two kids could share one treat.

That came from the Depression, BTW. (And I'm not old enough to remember first-hand, pundits!)

Sundays were family days

Church, home to a big dinner
Maybe a sunday afternoon ride to the mountains

Only places opened were hospitals, fire stations, policestations and the dairy queen

Oh, and white girl's gym shoes that don't have a logo on them and are not high-tops. The ones your Mom paid $5 for at Woolworth's.

Woolworths!! How about 2 pair of shoes for $5(!) at Pick-way Shoes.

How about handling business through the mail since there were no fax machines? And having to worry about getting to the bank on time since there was no direct deposit or ATM's?

I've really enjoyed this thread!
