Someone considering going out with me should know... If the outing includes dancing, there's a strong likelihood she'll be going home with sore toes. Even if she feeds me... I don't put out on the first date. ![]() There's slim chance that she's ever met a man with my unique set of qualities. So even if it turns out we're not a good match, hanging out and learning more about me is sure to be a fresh experience. Your post made me perv your profile. You are a good writer and have a way with words. I hope you continue to post more regularly. We need you. ![]() |

I'm quiet and a tad shy until I get to know someone more. I don't like humor that demeans or mocks people, regardless of who they are. I only date one at a time, and expect the same in return. I like that you don't appreciate humor that mocks people. You're a very kind person. ![]() Thank you! You're a very kind person too, and I like that you're adventurous and make International travel a priority. ![]() |

1 Spirituality, energywork, the 5D etc. is hugely important! It's not what I do but who I am. 2 Personal freedom, so I need a healthy balance in together and separate. 3 And a big one: I am VERY English minded & focused. I find it difficult to interact when someone's English is poor or non-existent as it comes up a lot, especially in a relationship. Do you speak English more often than Dutch? Not anymore in communication with people in real life, used to when I was still with my British partner, yes. Much of what I do during the day is in English, reading, thinking, I did my coaching in English, the books I've written as well. It has been a big part of my life since I was in Australia when I was 20, so basically my entire adult life. Result is that much comes up in English when I'm talking to people, often don't know the Dutch word in that moment either. And for some reason it tends to come up a lot when I wish to express deeper feelings which is why it's important to me in relationship. |

1. I am an early morning person.
2. I have a dominant fiery personality/persona. 3. I will not give up my friendships with two of my ex's. A 17 & 10 year friendship is more important to me than your insecurity. |

Their kids, born in this country, have no accent. But their parents do. Most of the time they just drop into spanish when conversing with each other. I suspect, that if they think in their native tongue, they will always carry the accent. It's just my observation. |

I suspect, that if they think in their native tongue, they will always carry the accent. It's just my observation. I don't know if it's true that people won't/can't lose their accent in a new language if they also converse with family in their native tongue. For the ones that were born and raised in the new country that is. For myself, I don't care about a bit of an accent anymore. I live in my own country, my English is way better than the average Dutch person's, I've even had British people say my English was better than theirs, hihi. I think a person's level of understanding the new language is much more important than an accent. Which is where it gets annoying & disappointing for me: with the average Dutch partner I cannot share many things that I enjoy in English as they just don't understand. That goes for me laughing my head off with Michael McIntyre, but also for instance the books I've written. My last partner wanted a copy, got it, but then he couldn't read it as it was too difficult for him. I was well disappointed to the point that it hurt me. I btw think in both English & Dutch. And when I lived in Australia it was English-only. When I had to go back home I could barely speak Dutch anymore. Took me months to get back to normal Dutch fluency, believe it or not. . . . |

What are three facts that a potential date should know about you?
1. I am face-value. I don't play childish mind games. 2. I value honesty over feelings. Not only do I say what is necessary, I want to hear what is necessary as well. There is however, times when holding the tongue over-rides brutal honesty. Moods and conditions change constantly, many things tend to fix themselves if you let them. 3. I'm a loving, honest person who does not hurt the people I love. If you burn me, I am not one to hold onto emotional anchors. I respond well to sugar but disappear with salt. If you treat me with dignity, respect and love, I will return it ten-fold. Additionally, I am not driven by wealth, power or superficial beauty. I see the actual beauty of a person in their eyes. I am also a forgiving soul when 'accidents' happen because stuff in life does..."just happen". |
