I use deodorant spray, the old fashioned type with aluminium in it. I do have a tin of natural deodorant without that. I want to give that a try soon as it is less taxing on the body (liver).

But... I am all for using some type of deodorant. And I'd like my man to use it too.

Oh -ell no! I love to stink. And when I take the bus, I never have to worry about having some moron sit next to me.

It's a personal choice, I'm in customer service field so I have always used deodorant or sometimes I use baking soda,:shower::bathtub::yin_yang:

Yeah, I heard that before from a man. Yet, when he stank as if sprayed by a skunk he didn't.

It is indeed a personal choice is seems, but to me it is part of normal daily hygiene and grooming. ALSO for a man.
But to each their own, as long as men who don't groom and stink stay far away from me hihi.

for masking B/O (deordorants) ,
I use mens dove body wash, and body spray. it's alcohol based like a cologne only lighter.
( assuming you are not talking about antiperspirants)

this is true, it is actually highly toxic .and the body stores it.
people should read up on the damages studies have linked it to.

That's why I already mentioned it in my post. I guess people don't read that either tongue2
Bummer is that aluminium is the thing that works as deodorant so you don't smell of sweat. These days there are alternatives you can buy, totally natural and made with essential oils for a variety of scents.
BUT since they do not have an ingredient that works effectively on smell like aluminium these alternatives may not be sufficient when you easily do smell of sweat.
That can by the way be stress related...

sorry cristal, I read it, just mistook what you were saying. guess, I dint read it close enough.
the aluminum is more used as an anti perspirant. than a de odorant. it enters pores and shrinks the sweat ducts. so you sweat less. by it's self, it wont make a person smell any better.

my overactive biome usually feeds on it and produces new weird smells, but some deodorants are good because they neutralize odor rather than necessarily smell good

Just to clarify ... Deodorants are usually aluminium free

Antiperspirants often contain aluminium.. it’s function is to reduce/ suppress sweating .

There are obviously combination deodorant / antiperspirants which will contain aluminium .

Sweating is a natural detox for the body . Body odour is caused by bacteria .

I lead a very active lifestyle and would not be without my antiperspirant/deodorant . But for those wanting to try natural methods ... deodorants are easy to make and often use a combination of coconut oil/ Shea butter and essential oils .. Baking soda /arrowroot powder to often included to help absorb sweat .

Some other ideas for natural control of body odour include using kaolin clay masks on armpits to detoxify and reduce bacteria buildup . Also the use of probiotic sprays (dissolvable probiotic powder/capsule and filtered water ) to optimise good bacteria which can help reduce odour causing bacteria .

No problem, Richard!
And yes, you're right, more in anti perspirant. I will have to look on the spray I use to see what's in there. And I should begin with using the natural stuff I got but I keep forgetting, hihi. Force of habit to grab the spray...

Depends on my diet. Certain food make me produce an odair where I have to occasionally use deodorant. The women I. Have been compatible with always had a pleasant smell without deodorant. It’s Mother Nature in action.

If talking about myself, I don't use deodorants. I just use perfume. If the person is well clean then its not necessary to use it at all, But yeah its a personal choice. Just sharing whats my view.
