So what's holding you back? Why did you come in here and post the question in the first place?
I'm asking that sincerely, not to be accusatory. |

No Stormy, I mean for that to be an introspective question for you.
Think about it for a bit. Why are you hesitating? Are you just afraid of the unknown? Or is there something more here? |

You might be surprised what I understand.
Go ahead, give it a shot. Or if you don't feel comfortable talking about it in a public forum I understand that too. You can drop me an email if you need an ear to talk to. |

stormy, I think a lot of us would understand...I know I would. But if you don't want to share, tis okay, no pressure.
but again just try to have fun, be safe.... (of course, though I know you don't want to hear this, if you see the date I joined...that is when I first started online dating ever and have yet to meat a guy from here...though on another site we had begun talking about it but....oh well...I voiced I was nervous...LOL he must have been to because the next thing I know he said goodbye and deleted all our emails (on that site you could tell that)...must be meant to be...and lol seeing someone I know show up on one of my matches that is my director at work on another dating site does NOT count...I dared not go see his profile...though lol, he DID match my search description) |

OK Stormy. I'm not going to press.
But I do encourage you to meet this guy - and if that goes well then attend the NY Eve party with him. From the tiny bit of info you gave us he seems like a decent guy. He waited for you to decide what you were going to do. That shows he's considerate. By backing away he also showed he's not some desperate needy child. He didn't like the way you were being treated which indicates he has a gentleman's heart. He also didn't try to "rescue" you or tell you what to do in the situation (at least not as far as you've told us) which shows a maturity sadly lacking in much of society today. Starting over is not easy. The fear of making the same mistakes again are haunting. Perhaps he's not what you're "normally attracted to" but then is that a bad thing? What happened with the last guy you're "normally attracted to"?? Yes you have children to think about now. One of the things you have to do for them is to take care of their mother. Part of taking care of you is taking care of your natural social needs. Yes, I'm reaching here and no, I don't have any idea of the details of your situation. I'm just covering some common ground. I encourage you to take the steps toward meeting this guy. One step at a time and keep your eyes wide open all the way. Best wishes to you Stormy. |

Another good sign Stormy.
Since you can't or won't explain what's holding you back there's not much more anyone here can do for you. Good luck whatever you decide Stormy. Just stay true to you. Sure it's cliche'd but it's always good advice. |

LOL again aye (usually I'm the wordy one, just look at my poems and other replies but what he says is what I'd say, and I'm too tired to say it again. so I use the handy quote button instead) |
