I don't know where to put this, move it if better.
What is your Chinese Energy Personality type? I recently came across this and it's terribly intriguing, hihi. There are 5 elements -Wood, Water, Metal, Fire, Earth- and each have very distinct energies. This goes as far as health, the way you are, react, people you do or do not vibe with (handy to know in dating), when you feel good and happy, and even how you walk, move, and talk. Each element has an organ or 2 organs that it's connected to and thus also the meridians of those. In my case it's spot on! Most people have 2-3 of these elements in their own unique combination but 1 is your primary element. One way to have an indication is... what is your MAIN go-to emotion when under stress? Fire ---> panic Wood ---> Anger Earth ---> worrying, overthinking Metal ---> sadness, withdrawing/detaching Water ---> Fear You may recognise a few, which is likely related to your secondary element(s) so get clear which one is really your main, first emotion in most cases. If you wish you can read about your type in the article here, but there's a ton more to find on the net! http://balance.media/personality-type/?fbclid=IwAR3pOqG57RMpp4VpyS3nHMyRwzhtfv6o1gK0DmnIka8OUFionmslWkcFkQo |

I used to be a wood-ox.
I no longer pay attention to mysticism but if I had to identify now I would be a metal-ox. Thing is, when it comes to energy typing, none actually fit me. I don't panic, never really did. I used to be filled with anger, not anymore I no longer worry but I can tend to over-think things sometimes but since I am now very decisive, not as much as in the past. I don't have many fears, can't remember the last time I was actually afraid of anything, not even death. Sadness no longer invades my contentment. When I kicked my depression, the sadness fell away. I do have withdraw from society but that is mainly a choice because I see society as insane and do not want it in my life. I don't really withdraw into myself tho. Pretty much the same with detachment. I am alone most of the time. I like it that way. I've also detatched myself from my common delusions and the attachments to things and behaviors. I no longer cling to what I consider mine. Not even money. If I were to make up my own energy element I guess it would be Air: Equally present and saturating. Not only am I aware of my surroundings I am flexible enough to act when I need to or watch from a distance. I am highly opinionated but have the courtesy to allow others to express theirs. I'm conscious of peoples language, I read people easily because I pay attention to details. I'm emotionally stable and emotionally mature. I also have a knack for understanding the obvious, which is often overlooked, ignored by others. I'm also very funny and choose to lighten other people's moods because I find most people seem to me to be rather miserable. Sometimes a bit of 'free' laughter makes their day. As for keeping up appearances, I don't really concern myself with what others think of me, they don't live behind my eyes. |

It's about your own core energy. As for the Starsigns... each specific combination of those -lets say Rat & Metal- only occurs once every 60 years. The starsign related element has to do with year of birth. For instance, a year ending on a 1 + 6 yr is always Water. If it was the same it'd mean everyone born in that year would have the same personal core energy, which wouldn't make sense. I don't know the exact meaning of the starsign's related element. I know a little of Chinese astrology but not that much. These are two different things. Air... that's Western elements. Air Water Earth Spirit Fire |

I'm not sure...
When under stress, my go-to emotion is calm. |

Earth and fire water...

I'm not sure... When under stress, my go-to emotion is calm. Then maybe look for your regular emotion, hihi. Joking aside, I do have that too, very together, utterly focused, but that's not when I have stress but when there's some sort of emergency. It's why back in the day I felt drawn to work in the ER. Also how I salvaged our gig when my then ex-that-I-still-had-to-live-with-ahole almost collapsed behind his drumkit. Show had to go one, he needed tending, and someone had to arrange all that. I was that someone. I'm at my best in such situations. But that's not stress to me. When under stress I can get angry, although I don't usually let that come out, but I do feel it. Like a pressure cooker, hihi. Not good for my own health. It would be better if I did let rip. |

The elements I felt most connected to, in order, water, then, earth. |

Oh? so I'm a water ox.
But I am not a fear-filled person? Can't even twist it to be a fearful person...must be bunk, just like all the mystic predictions. Like all astrology, if you look at it after the fact and twist yer head just so, you can almost make it accurate. As long as you ignore everything else that doesn't align. |

Like all astrology, if you look at it after the fact and twist yer head just so, you can almost make it accurate. As long as you ignore everything else that doesn't align. Again, you come up with Ox. It has NOTHING to do with astrology. Then you continue to diss astrology and it has NOTHING to do with astrology. Have you actually read the OP and my previous post? Maybe best leave subjects that aren't for you for the ones who do take an interest? Just a suggestion. |

If memory serves, water is much of a philosopher, related to art & creativity and Earth is a very caring, giving, warm person that loves to help. ALso, creativity is not only stuff like painting and sculpting, also dancing, walking/moving fluidly, and thinking creatively. |

I am primary Wood, secondaries are Water and a sprinkling of Fire for good measure.

I felt most connected with Water and Earth, although my go to response to stress is normally over thinking rather than becoming fearful, so according to that, Earth would be my primary.
The first three fit pretty much right on. But I also see aspects of myself in the last two as well. Fire... about two thirds, and wood... about a third of it fits. Earth Water Metal Fire Wood |

The first three fit pretty much right on. But I also see aspects of myself in the last two as well. Fire... about two thirds, and wood... about a third of it fits. Earth Water Metal Fire Wood Yes, that's the thing, we all got parts of all elements. I also recognize things in Metal to the point I doubt if that's not one of my secondaries. But then there are many things Metal that really aren't me. Earth I recognize as the survival technique I had in the past, same with the Helper type in Enneagrams but it is not who I really am. It was a role I played to survive in a world that wasn't gentle to me at all. The real me is a true Wood. I'm also still learning about it all as there's so much to it! If you're interested, there's plenty of vids on this on YouTube, short and longer. Dondi Dahlin -one of Donna Eden's daughters- even did a Ted talk on it. I stumbled upon that just now and it was good. |

I just did the quiz again, missed the first time that it DOES give the secondary too!
It comes up primary WOOD Secondary... METAL As I said... I had my doubts about Metal. Still not certain though, haha. But I AM certain primary is WOOD. Wood is "You are bold, decisive, strong, and a real go-getter!" and that is what the real me is like. And what I am like when I know what I want and feel certain about it. Then I just do it, go for it, and make it happen without any doubt it won't cause it will. And when I feel that way, it always does, hihi. You can find that quiz here, but then -as always- make sure you answer from who you are, not from any role you took on as a survival strategy. Takes about 5 mins to do and gives both primary & secondary. http://learnthefiveelements.com/5-elements-quiz/ |

Wow, I just took the quiz... I didn't do it the first time, just read the descriptions.
Metal is my primary, and water is my secondary. Earth still seems to fit more with what I'm reading. I'll take the quiz again later. |

I'll take the quiz again later. Not easy to be 100% clear, is it! I am certain on my primary, but the secondary also still in doubt. Doing it a second time might be a good move! I'm thinking of buying Dondi's book on the 5 elements. There are more comprehensive quizzes in there to figure out what you are. They're running a 5 week course on it too at the mo, but I cannot afford to cough up $297 right now, nor do I feel I have to with the ton of free material I can explore if I wish. |

Well Metal does appear to fit me very well. My primary purpose has always been walking a spiritual path, being on a journey. And I have been known to completely abandon anything or anyone, gently, if I don't feel there is a higher purpose spiritually for that thing or person to be in my life. That's Metal! I'll seek out places and people who I feel will help me move forward or give me more insight and clarification or connection to my spiritual walk.
More than likely I have three elements, Metal being primary, then Water and Earth as my secondaries. I'll delve more into after I get out of work today. Cool stuff Crystal, thanks! |
