My age is 60, and I had selected the age range of women I'd like to meet from 30 to 65. Yet about 90% of the Likes and messages I receive are from women in the 25-40 age group. Yet less than 10% of my Likes and messages received are from women over the age of 45. This has been the case for over six weeks since I first joined this dating site back on March 13. Something is definitely not right here. What is the problem?

I feel you on your concerns. I'm a 66 year old. Currently I have 144 women who say that they like me. Even though I have selected to be interested in meeting women between the age of 55-65 about 60 percent are between the age of 30-40 years of age. Also even though they claim to like me and desire to meet up with me none of them, or should I say ALL of them leave a message or respond to my messages. And the less than 1% that do respond with a message want me to go to Hangouts to communicate. If you don't know Hangouts is a scammers haven. Like you said something is definitely NOT right.

This is the internet...and an international free dating site...

any user can view any profile and indicate they like that profile...you cannot restrict or set any criteria regarding who can like you or who can view you...


you, however, can use the free search feature to identify members who meet your criteria...and initiate contact with them...you can also set filters which will not permit messages in your inbox from members who do not pass the filter settings...



it would serve a user well here IMO to combine realistic expectations with good judgment and common sense ...and when applicable - either report, ignore, block or use any other Mingle procedures/proceses to address scammers

The match function is just a game ...anyone can like you . Don’t get caught up in believing how popular you seem to be ( and I mean that in a sincere way ) . Be wary of anyone contacting you with an agenda such as asking for money ..help with a visa etc .. don’t give out personal info until you are sure the person is legitimate and genuine .

ignore the “likes” and instead view profiles and contact women you are interested in. . Set filters so that only women who meet your criteria can message you . Best of luck

Same problem but I expected it. What gets me is they pay absolutely no attention to your parameters when trying to match you. I mean why ask for them if THEY are not going to use them?

You can filter by age who mails you. You can't prohibit people from looking at your profile or trying to match with you.

And sixty years old and looking for someone thirty to sixty-five, and then whining because women twenty-five to forty try to match with you??
