That’s too bad about the new job! I hope your interview went well and you get the job that is better for you. It’s nice to not have to drive very far, that’s for sure. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! I have some family coming in from GA. It will be nice to see them Thanks Dee, I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving as well with your family. The interview went very well, but I wasn't offered the job, hahaha. I only work day shift, so that was a deal breaker. They wanted someone who could cover any of the three shifts as needed. I'm thinking a nice house and animal sitting position, on a deserted island, would be fabulous... no people, no traffic, and total solitude Hmmm, that actually might be a possibility down here. I could start my own house and/or pet sitting business. |

And the adventure finally begins again, hahaha. I've felt pretty much in limbo the last month, wondering if I should stay or go. It will be quite a challenge getting my home back to being suitable for living, and an even a bigger challenge as far as family goes. But it's my home and where I feel I'm supposed to be, at least for now.
During my time job searching, my inner voice kept saying Postcard Inn. I even had visions of me working in the marina store. But I kept ignoring all that and continued to look for something else, thinking I could find something better, something closer to home. I finally started listening on Friday and contacted the HR Director. He called me on Monday, thrilled that I was interested. I guess my former boss had mentioned me to him. Not knowing if I was going to be in the marina store or the gift shop, I went in for my interview. Turns out I'll be working in the marina store and getting paid way more than I ever anticipated. Holy cow, hahaha! The picture below is the resort I'll be working at, and the second photo is of the beach. They have housing, so if I need temporary housing until my home is functional again, it's available to me. Right now I'm staying with my sister, but I at least have other options if needed. Life is good and I feel truly blessed! |

Congratulations River, I’m delighted for you. The resort looks beautiful Thanks Delightful The HR Director is really nice, full of positive energy. And I met my new boss, equally cool and down to earth. He wants to make some changes to the store and is wanting me to help with that. So it definitely can lead to more opportunities. Everyone is happy and cheerful there, and I so need to be around that, haha. And yes, it's breath taking there, absolutely beautiful. |

Dee, thanks
I'm hoping to start early this week. They are waiting for the background check to come in, it normally takes two to three days. So it should be back by Monday at the latest. I'm excited about working there, and eager to get started. There's a family of manatee that live at the marina, and a ton of tarpon and other fish, and pelicans. I love watching the pelicans It definitely is weird being back in a warm climate for Christmas. I spent the last four years having a white Christmas. That would be great if you sent me a little snow. Hope you're having a great weekend as well |

Hey, River
That’s good to hear! Are you going to have a White Christmas after all? I’m surprised that you will actually have snow down there! I don’t think we will have snow here, it’s been unseasonably warm for December. But I’m sure we’ll make up for it in January Have a great week and I hope you will be at work soon |

Hahaha, no we're not expecting snow here in the Keys. It's way too hot and humid. Yes, I will be having a white Christmas. I came back here because of family and at one time, it was my home. But as the saying goes... Home is where the heart is.. my heart isn't here anymore. My heart, and home, is in New Hampshire, right where I left it back in April... calling me to come back home ever since I left. So I decided to answer the call and I'm going home... where my heart is. Hopefully it will cool down enough and you'll get a little snow for Christmas. Have a great rest of the week and a great weekend. |

Portsmouth is beautiful, Eric and I drove through there when we went to Maine a year ago. I love New Hampshire and New England. Of all the places I've been, my favorite place is New Hampshire. I'll be going back to Londonderry. |

That is great to hear! I’m so glad that you’re following your heart and going back to your home....there’s no better place to be I’m keeping my fingers crossed 🤞 that we’ll have a beautiful white Christmas here. It might be warmer up there where you’ll be as well, we’ll soon find out! I betcha we’ll have plenty of it in January though |

Thanks Dee
We're spending Christmas in Littleton, so there should be snow. It's further north in the mountains. |

If you are traveling now, I hope you are safe! Not sure what route you’re taking.... there’s been some horrific tornadoes on this side of the country! So stay safe wherever you may be! |
