Call 911. As much as I would like to try and stop him, I would not. The girl and I could both end up dead and the assailant would get away.

Is it not easy to call the Crowd before you call Mr 911. Its just my point of View !

Possibly, depending on whether there are people around. But we don't know if the assailant has a gun. If so, calling attention to him could cause random shooting and several people being injured or killed. It's best to let the police handle it.
It may seem honorable or heroic to intervene in those kind of situations, but it is also foolish and could cause more damage than good.

I suppose if I were a 6ft tall man, weighing 200 pounds, it might be different and I may try and stop the man. But I'm not. I'm a 4'11" tall woman.

I think it's easy to say what you would do in these kind of situations, but in reality, I wonder when push comes to shove, how many would do what we say we'd do? I say I wouldn't engage and just call 911, but might do something entirely different in the heat of the moment. Same with going into a burning building to save someone. I see myself doing that, but would I really? I don't know.

This is true.. however, I have done the later thinking my neighbor was possibly in theirs one morning when I saw smoke pouring out of it. I wont go into all the details.. but you do what you gotta do when the time calls.

Yes, I believe I would do the same if I saw smoke coming out of the building. I'm not so sure if I would if the whole building was engulfed in flames.

Just cus you would run away doesn’t mean to say everyone would do the same .

I have personally intervened in quite a few different situations , some putting myself at risk , but I was more concerned for them people and wanting to help them

Kinda depends on the scenario.

I mean huge difference between a 6 year old being forced into a van and a 30 year old woman kicking and hitting a guy until he gets mad, turns around and punches her to the ground, then walks away checking to see what she's going to do next.

Am I in the ghetto and it's an obvious hooker being "molested" by her pimp?
Or do I see a guy drag a drunk woman from a bar out into the bushes?

Is it a guy with a gun holding it to her head, meanwhile a bunch of his gang member friends are standing around laughing and posturing?

Is the guy a cop kneeling on the neck of a protestor?

Do I know the girl? The guy?
I mean there's scenarios where I could "step in" and help her, only the guy is her abusive husband, and she goes back to him, and he takes out his anger from my intervention on her, and she won't do anything about it.
Or possibly they both file police charges against me for intervening in a domestic thing.

Without any relevant details the best answer you'll get is "yes, no, maybe."

It depends on how I gage the man now. I have intervened with strangers and he turned on me. So now, I would ring the police, then engage.

I can speak to real world on this. I worked at a truck stop for a number of years. More than once I stepped between a "man" and a woman who was being, or about to be, assaulted. it happened enough my crew knew to call "Ceaser", my nickname, if anything needed my intervention.
