oh with the covid again....its a flu....now we are afraid of a flu...

i'd travel but it's not the same, people are everywhere if they cough you just don't know...and some people you can't pay to wear a mask...

This pandemic made people anxious. Like when you cough or sneeze, does it mean you have COVID-19? It is really hard not to worry especially when there are surges in infections and the presence of new coronavirus variants.

People from Ireland are still flying to Spain in masses. But within Ireland, there is a 5km limit. Something wrong there

It has been over a year yet the virus is still present. We’ve missed traveling and we all want to go outside our homes, but at what cost?

Let’s all do our part in preventing the spread of virus by observing safety health protocols.

P.S. Hi, Lars! Hope you’re safe and healthy. waving

I feel we should all go back to normal life. When people can live normally, socialise, hug, touch, they are much happier and thus their immune system works way better.
There would be laughter, happiness, joy! Something we have all missed for over a year now.
I've had periods that I had to sneeze a lot, a couple of times had swollen glands in my throat. But I haven't been ill. I am not worried about that, I always have the odd cold here and there during the year, as everyone does.
I've hugged my kids, my mom, and stepmom, and have no intention to stop doing that.
At the physio's I wear no mask. She doesn't demand it.
My cleaning lady is here every Monday and she works in many ppl's homes. Should I not let her in or demand she wear a face mask when cleaning? And wear one myself.
I don't see the need.

I really wished we could move around and do things normally, and no more face masks so you can see people again love

As for travel... some department of the EU has declared that it's not allowed to limit people or treat them differently based on them having had a vaccine or not.
Personally I'd be more inclined to steer clear from poisoned people than the natural ones like me, but that's me. tongue2
But it's pretty clear I won't be going to Scotland any time soon... tears

The outbreak of the coronavirus has changed travel situation in the world dramatically. To contain the virus, global travel restrictions are in effect which caused many borders to fully close. With this, what’s one thing you DON’T miss about traveling?

I would say flight changes, delays, or cancellations.

Sitting on a plane with, loud, lewd, drunks, sadly, usually my fellow British Neanderthals!

New Zealand and Australia have opened a long awaited travel bubble between our two countries :-) no quarantines currently required . Of course it is subject to change at any moment and those who choose to travel do so on the understanding that if there is need for a sudden quarantine and they are stuck on the other side they will need to have plans in place to cope ..

At some point, most of us have felt cut off from our loved ones. This pandemic has made it difficult to connect personally and see people. But if you have to meet others, do it carefully while observing safety health protocols. waving

I don't miss having to strip and be scanned like a criminal.
I haven't taken the plane in 7 years. I don't miss it one bit.

This is good news, Blondey.  Hoping everything will go back to normal (pre-covid) the soonest. For now, let’s continue to stay safe and healthy. waving

At your own risks and perils, eh?

Last time I flew was 1988 on a MAC flight.
Last time I was on a bus trip way 1977.
Last time I was on a ship was 1986.
I don't even take long road trips anymore but that's because of my health more than pandemic restrictions.

A major reason why pandemics spread so fast is because a lot of people now travel world-wide, very quickly.
This pandemic initiated in China.
If people were still traveling long distance by ship, it would show itself long before the ship makes many of its ports.
The virus would spread more evenly, at a slower pace, than appear suddenly, sporadically around the world.

I travel everyday by semi truck. or by my motorhome, I've been to all the hotspots where covid had huge outbreaks, been tested 18 times and others 50 +people in that area tested positive, yet my results are negative.. something doesn't add up...

now this vaccine is out and more people are getting sick..

here's a question. how can a vaccine be produced so fast, yet other colds and illnesses that been around 40 years are still here... ??

not trying to cause a fight, just my opinion from my own experiences.
