Topic: Weird experience. | |

I was driving up town. I stopped my car in the middle of a busy street, (cars were behind me), I had a weird instinct too.
A child on a scooter came out of nowhere. If I did not trust that feeling, she could be dead or injured now. Has anything like that happened to you? |

Constantly.
I have high sensitivity and empathy. I pay attention to details. I 'see' things others are oblivious about. While driving, my attention is on the road and the area around it. I follow safe driving methods because in my job, I was required to drive trucks. I pay attention to the task at hand. With people, I pay attention to body language, facial expression, tone, inflection. I also have situational awareness. |

If I did not trust that feeling, she could be dead or injured now. Has anything like that happened to you? Oh yes!! Going home after a day's work in hospital I had this weird strong feeling I had to be careful for another car driving into me from behind. All the way home I kept checking the rearview mirror as the feeling kept growing stronger and stronger. Nothing happened and I sighed with relief when I could exit the motorway. I made it!! Then, waiting in front of the traffic light at the top... BANGGGG!!!! and again BANGGG!!! The whole world was shaking and moving, things flying through my car, the rearview mirror was moving around and I didn't know what had happened, what was happening, nor when it would stop. I can't have been more than a brief moment, then things turned still. It turned out some idiot had driven into my car, I think at high speed, maybe to make the 1st traffic light. The impact caused me to hit the car that was waiting in front of me, in spite of me having my foot on the brake. So 2 serious blows due to the speed of the idiot behind me. I felt right away my neck was out of whack. Turned out I had a very bad whiplash. Our car was totalled, so there we were, proper solid 5 door car to no car at all. With a family. I still wonder what would've happened had I heeded my intuition and had taken the train home. Would I then have had another accident? What exactly is destined? I have no answer to that. I have never ever had such a strong intuitive feeling since. I really seriously just KNEW it was going to happen. |

I thought you were telling us women ... that men drive better. Sorry Arty. No worries Notlooking. And I would NEVER EVER say that!......... ..(out load). However, I went slightly off topic in my initial comment. You talked about your experience being weird? How so? Are you suggesting some kind of psychic episode? And let me ask you and others who may be interested; this. :...when in the pilot seat of your vehicle, how often have you found yourself on the other side of a major busy intersection, and simply can't recall passing through it? Yes, and there are many different moments in time like this, that we experience. I have seen a documentary on this phenomenon. Maybe Google to locate? If I remember accurately, it was about Brain to Eye coordination or more specifically, Syncrocity. In brief, it claims that the Brain reacts to the signal it receives from the Eyes first, instantly. It reacts immediately, for you,and before you are even aware of it. That's the science of it. Please don't kill the messenger. |

Arty, when you are curious about life you read and investigate all things. I have heard of what you are talking about.
I think my experience was an intuitive experience, call it psychic or whatever you want. I just know it freaked me out, but gave me immense joy that I listened to that instinct. She was only about 6 years of age, without parents. It made me angry that she was alone and unprotected. She smiled at me and yelled "Thank you?". Life, huh? |

Before I went to explore the abandoned yacht, a voice inside me yelled "no". I was only 24 and ignored the voice, thinking "what was that?" Lol. Next time...I will listen. |

I'm hoping there won't be a next time. It has had a tremendous impact on my life, in combi with a 2nd accident -that I did not feel coming- I now have TBI and all kinds of things that come with that. |

Btw, one of the reasons I hope it never happens again is that I wouldn't know what to do. You could not go on a boat trip, okay, but I had to go home. THere's no choice there. Then what? I wished I had an answer to that, that would be very helpful in case I ever had such a premonition again.
If I'd asked my hubby to pick me up, would we have been okay then, or would we both have had the accident? Would I have had it the next day when alone? Had I taken the train, would I have avoided it? Or would something else have happened to me. CAN it be avoided? In a way I'm inclined to think it can be, otherwise what's the point of premonition? So if it happened again in a situation where you cannot not do something... what the hell do you do? That's why in a way I hope to never get it again. The other is of course hoping that nothing like it will ever happen again! |

She had just fallen off the top bunk and was strangling herself somehow. I think premonitions are there to help us avoid injury or death, ourselves and others. |
