well if after long long hours of chatting, you meet and have nothing to say... a good idea could be to shut up and have sex! Apparently it's much better for health than sitting in front of a pc!

It's not really handy, no. You can come to think you have a great think going and you found the one, then meet in RL and nothing. Not even food for conversation, just nothing.

So it is best to meet each other as soon as you can.
When that isn't possible due to living far apart then at the very least go to phoning each other and video calls. And still meet as soon as you can.

I agree!

The curiosity, intrigue, and excitement of possibly meeting the one for you can keep the conversation flowing for hours. But, if there isn't chemistry between the two of you, which you can't know until you meet face to face, then conversation will come to a halt once you meet.

On the other hand, some might just be nervous. If you have two introverts who can talk behind the scenes (online) really well, then they meet face to face, they could have a problem if both are waiting for the other to begin the conversation.

Could be a number of reasons, so it's always best to meet face to face as soon as possible. Or do as Crystal said and go to talking on the phone and doing video calls, until you are able to meet face to face. That will at least ease the nervousness of meeting someone for the very first time face to face.

Yep! And the added bonus is hearing their voice. This can be a noway but also a smitten smooched I've had both scenarios, haha.
So much can be felt and picked up from someone's voice.

Definitely! I've had both too, haha.

I think the same, it's better to meet asap and meet in real life. Excited to hear the voice and see, touch the person. But if a person doesn't into a girl that much and never request for video call, is the person too shy or a guy just prefer pen pal? Lol

Maybe I should start posting acronyms in 3-4 different languages...
Thanks Happy Geezer for the explanation...

NotLooking, please do not take too seriously anything I write, but as you can see I never specified it had to be unprotected. otherwise people could just continue chatting and never meet as diseases (as we all should know by now) have several ways of transmission. But still, I'm very rarely serious in what I write, I should take the habit to raise a flag :-)

Why sometimes it happens that you can Chat with a person for Long /Long hours on Social Media , but when you meet face-to- face you have nothing to talk to ??
Is Chatting for Long Hours Good For Health ??????
waving health is subjective . What equates to a long time for you?? We all have our own tolerances .

Online connections sometimes become blurred and the mind plays tricks between how we imagine someone and the shared connection . Meeting face to face is often a reality check for many .. especially if chemistry / attraction is lacking .

Neither.... I won't video call....it's stupid. I ain't shy, and I ain't looking for a penpal.

I'm just not gonna sit in front of my computer or hold my phone out in front of my face for any length of time. If I'm calling, I usually either have my phone between my shoulder and ear or will have it on speaker while I'm doing other shlt.

Then how does it work for blind people?

Just sharing my opinion . You are welcome to yours . Looks are an important part of attraction . Online interaction distorts the natural attraction we feel when all our senses come into play . Meeting in person allows that chemical reaction to either activate or not . From experiences others have shared .. meeting in person is not always successful and is a disappointment .

I understand the meeting in person, but we both know the meeting is for looks. You call it chemistry/attraction. But it's all about looks. That's why I threw the blind in there.

Blind people don't love or lack the ability for chemistry? Because they can get the same result out of a telephone call as a meeting in person. Sure they'd have the ability to hold hands or something - but that usually is a forward thing, that is reserved until at least after there's potential.

I agree, looks are an important part of attraction - but that's because we're both shallow. Attraction works for blind with no sight.... it works for those couples that make you go "huh" where you see a ripped dude going with a hippo or a babe going with a overweight nerdy dude.

Before you go to the, beauty is in the eye of beholder nonsense - why is it that in a group setting if a random test group were to rate looks on just pictures from 1 to 10, there wouldn't be much variation from person to person on each photo?

The blind people, the ripped dude and the babe's shallowness mechanism is broken and perhaps they found love. It might make you feel better to say that during a first meet "there was no spark" but that's just another way of saying the dude was too ugly for you. You don't like it, because it looks bad to look shallow, but that's what we're doing - especially if you enjoyed talking to that person for a week then all of a sudden you are no longer interested.

I never referenced myself in my post ., suggest you read it again it . I posted about the topic .. not about my personal experiences ... so please do not make assumptions about me or what I find attractive pitchfork

Suggest you read about chemical attraction and what triggers it . All of the senses not just physical . Perhaps for those without sight the role of scent attraction plays a bigger part . There is nothing shallow about physical attraction ... it is an important initial attractor . It can be as simple as being attracted to a smile . There is no prerequisite that “Physical” attraction translates only to beauty . That is a misunderstood concept.

I never said anything about your personal experiences, nor did I make an assumption on what what you find attractive....but I can make an assumption on what people find attractive and I used my random test subjects to prove it.

I can also make an assumption, based on your belief in what physical attraction is - we just look at it differently. I don't buy the idea that the blind can't find love without "physical attraction" nor will I buy the idea that it plays an important role in what they seek. It's only important in what you seek - you said that, and I agreed. The blind can't see that smile you were talking about, they don't even know what their partner looks like, yet they have the ability to find someone despite physical attaction.

What exactly should I be reading? An article that some hag wrote in cosmo?
