this christmas, remember those men and women who wear the uniform that cannot be here, and remember all those that have worn it, wear it even now, and those yet to wear it

many will never understand wat they do, but ALWAYS rmemeber, that they do it for US, all of us, our friends, our neighbors, our sisters, our brothers, our sweethearts, our wives and husbands, our daughters, our sons, and for our FREEDOM AND SAFETY

remember them, honor them, THANK THEM, pray for them, LOVE THEM, and always remember that these men and women provide the blanket of freedom and safety under which we live and sleep

and hoist the colors(flag) high, and remember all the freedoms they protect, fight, sweat bleed, and sumtimes, die for

four generations of my family served, Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard

They fought by there choice so i can have my personal freedoms, and say what i want, I dont own a flag, but i respect those who do there job and dont guilt trip me because it's not what the recruting poster showed, there are LOTs that EARNED and DESERVE respect so to all of Them THANKS, and Marry Christmas

Thoughts of a Soldier


To the soldiers far and near
Each day we also feel your fear
As the sun rises each and every day.
You see the smoke & bullets coming your way.
Every day and night you pray to God above.
To let you see your family you so dearly love.
Will you ever get out of this hell hole?
It's as if you’re sitting on embers of coal.
You don't ask for much, just everyone’s support.
Waiting for that day you hear its time to deport.
There are tears of joy as you see a white dove.
Flying high above knowing you’re near the home you love.
Ohhh just to feel there arms around you once more.
You can't wait to run up those steps and open the door.
As the tears start to fall you see all the ones you love.
Giving hugs & kisses again you praise God from up above.

I have yellow ribbons on my Christmas tree...
I lost 2 dear friends over there, had 2 cousins come back from there... and sadly, my soon-to-be hubby is being deployed there in August 2008.

I have always supported the troops. I pen-pal to a few soldiers I have never met... have sent numerous thank you and holiday cards and care packages to troops I don't even know and never will... I can't say enough how gracious I am for their sacrifices...

To all the men and women who give themselves so we can live free... THANK YOU.My thoughts and prayers are with you for a safe return.
