Thinking of ordering subs from Giovani's or Chinese for dinner tonight. I still have lots to do to prepare for tomorrow, so don't feel like making dinner. What are subs? I only know that to mean submissives and I don't think you'd be ordering those. |

I know a grinder as a tool to crush something. |

I don't think you get those, or baguettes for that matter, from an Italian or Chinese restaurant. Oh well... maybe River will shed some light on it. |

A submarine sandwich, also known as a sub, hoagie, hero, or grinder, is a type of sandwich consisting of a length of bread or roll split lengthwise and filled with a variety of meats, cheeses, vegetables, and condiments. The sandwich has no standardized name, with over a dozen variations used around the world.
I have to give credit to wikipedia. |

We have these too, but you cannot get them at an Italian or Chinese restaurant. When I go into town I sometimes get one for lunch :) |
