How will Mankind recover from all of this?

From The Hill: "Global coronavirus death toll passes 100,000"

Yes, Pandemic 2020 is getting worse.

Except for social distancing, nothing is making the situation better.

Fake solutions have proven to be the fakes that they are.

So, how are people to cope with the mass deaths?

How are people to cope with the shortages due to hoarding?

How are people to cope with a lack of employment as a result of Pandemic 2020?

We are told by the experts, that the best information regarding the progress of this epidemic is gained from the hospitals here in the UK. because admissions are tested for the Coronavirus so it is known of those arriving in hospital the numbers that actually have the disease. The transmission rate, that is the rate of new infections, is reflected in the numbers of new hospital daily admissions with the disease, and thankfully this is no longer increasing here in the UK.

When there are fewer hospital Coronavirus admissions, fewer people are contracting this terrible disease, which shows the measures we are all having to follow are working. We will all get through this pandemic, but I think some smaller measures like social distancing will continue until a vacine is found.

How shall we all cope with the aftermath, I guess we will all grin and bear it as usual.

a lot of people have valid points, and things do vary per country.

In Holland & Germany people are staying home for the most part, except for helping others they are trying to stay safe while doing that

Italians are trying to not even leave their homes as much as possible.

UK & USA has a lot of people who are ignoring things, many people still going to the beach, still riding packed trains, still having parties, still not caring or even believing the virus exists.

America... many ppl in the USA, believe the virus is not real, your news tv is famous for withholding things worldwide, as is your gov, so just go on YouTube & check the news & posts by PEOPLE, Italy etc they people will tell you the truth, & stations from other countries, France newsTV, DW news are in English, Australian news however is spoken upside down, so please turn your TVs over using the rainbow shaped button on the back of the remote.

my neighbours opposite are party right now, over 10 hours today... last weekend 10/14/11 hours fri sat sun, they don't care at all.

many are trying to stay home, but non stop moaning nothing to do, so, your life is now different, but there are still tons of things to actually do, you just need to get off your lazy butts & go find some

Supermarkets here are starting to get things back on shelves, but it's very random and the prices have gone up, many by around 25% in brand stores like Asda( Walmart ), while foreign stores like Pakistani ones have put the prices up so high, even Bill Gates can't afford to look in the window(s 10).

£7.00 $10.00 for bog roll (as a lady above put it... ) toilet paper ( for Americans ) is a bit extreme.

Soap & Hand wash sell out as fast as it gets on the shelves, except for the ones they want 3.50/$5 dollars a bottle for....

which is only for mugs (stupid people) anyways, it's all the same crap in the bottle, just as brand name, designer clothes are still made from slave labour & mugs buy it to feel important, & look " impotant. "

There is not one virus that is the same, c19/sars2 it's mutated several times, it's still the basic virus, but it is adapting & changing, the same as the flu virus does every year... so it's possible this might not ever go away, you might recover from this particular type, but by next year, it could be different, so a vaccine injection might be needed every year, or its possible it might eventually go, sars v1 eventually stopped, but now we have v2.

it's only called a corona virus because of its shape, like the sun, round with a corona. the world has had viruses for 2 million + years, they all did their damage or changed, or was frozen in the ice packs around the world waiting for global warming to bring them back.

people will remember this as a bad year, and in 50 years, they will mostly forget, the viruses of the past, people didn't have our knowledge or ability to communicate, they didn't have internet, to try warn & teach the world...

we still don't have the technology to fight it, but maybe in 100 years they will, our governments only care about power, weapons, money & greed, gold over human life, they could stop hunger & homelessness, but they prefer 200 pairs of shoes for the 199 other feet you dont have, sports cars, gas guzzlers, designer dresses you only wear once, human life means nothing to a pair of designer sunglasses right? yes say the stupid people.

it's a shame, that many people are ignoring the warnings & causing potential harm to their childrens & families lives by still going out & not caring, but this is what they have done for 100s of years, that probably wont ever change, most people won't ever learn.

even after this, they will just fall back into how things was before, but those that are poorest will suffer even more, as the governments & businesses raise prices, to try get back what they think they lost... more crime will rise, and chaos etc, especially in places like the USA, where your culture is to attack first ask questions later, give blame, and try for compensation. other countries have always been poor, and adapt with nothing, they don't have 50 inch TVs with 3,000 channels, they have friends & good times even with owning very little. they struggle too, but they seem to be happy family units, but their struggles is nothing to what a millionaire struggles when he can't get diamond cufflinks to match his Bugatti... oh no can't take that or she has to wear the same shoes twice!! noooooo

it's time to learn & adapt, see your neighbour and be friends, not enemies, realise were all people, from different walks of life, but still try get along.

unite as one world, not as who can be 1st or have the best of everything. be grateful you have health, friends, food, water, look after those who don't have these basic things.

be kind, if you have a heart that feels? not many ppl do sadly, unless they lose the new batteries for the remote.

to anyone replying to anything i said, i don't come on here often, the app is very unfriendly & the text is microscopic, badly designed layout on this forum, i just wont read this thread again.

Stay safe everyone, no matter your race, religion, colour, or status, your all people, btw this virus prefers men, black & ethnic, so if your in those groups, wash your hands, protect your families. the virus doesn't really care who you are or what you own, it just wants you to go outside & help it live at the cost of your family.

so stay home much as possible. if you want to live, dont follow the terminator. mankind will recover, but will it ever learn.

stay safe be well. bye.

Pantic is not the answer, getting a understanding of what is really happening is Key. Do your research from good sources.

People seem to be saying **** it now -and increasingly going about their business as usual. Many will look at the numbers -not thinking it likely they will be the "1" to die. Hopefully people will be respectful of those most vulnerable. Some have warned of a second wave even with quarantine, social distancing and masks -but many are simply ignoring all of that.
It's true that life must go on -we can't all just sit at home forever -but we could at least be careful.

I think repubs here are avoiding stimulus payments so people will get out and about -go back to work -but they don't seem to be listening to the experts on economy -or social issues. Stimulus would not likely have an effect on willingness to work -and it is needed by many just to get work -and get to work. If you are literally starting with nothing -and people are losing their housing, etc., now -just getting a job is very difficult. If you can't even shower, shave and wash your clothes -much less pay for internet, phone, transportation, etc... before even considering how you will do in an interview ...you'll not likely be their first pick. Putting even those not directly affected by the pandemic in a position of strength will strengthen the country -and stimulus will help the economy if spent regardless of who get it. Who is more likely to spend it? Poor people -derp. Will there be some lazy people? Yep -always will be -but many more are not. Not considering people in the worst predicaments is unwise at any time -but especially now.

A balanced state of mind will drive the wheels of the economy and suppress the threat of the virus in a short time

It's a serious disease but nothing at all like the plagues of the past.

It will pass; pay no attention to the media shouting for attention.

Apparently, the latest thinking is just ignore it, go back to "normal" and whatever happens happens.

Folks in power are ignoring dire warnings from economists -about the economy -in favor of their own ideas about what will work better (not to mention experts on how to deal with a pandemic). A country is not just an economy -the government isn't running a business. It is responsible for the well-being of all citizens. The idea is apparently to motivate people to go back to work -which isn't a bad thing in and of itself (as long as it does not create a worse situation -in terms of spreading disease, overwhelming the health care system -which could be cause for another lockdown -at which point all those jobs would be lost again) -but they seem to be ignoring the thing which will make that actually possible -stimulus -especially now that there is talk of an eviction avalanche for renters. Not having a roof over your head makes it almost impossible to simply go back to work -especially for families. The economy's well-being is important for the well-being of citizens, but ignoring the well-being of many people will not have the positive effect on the economy some might hope -and would not be worth the toll even if it did. We'll see what they decide.

This disease has killed mostly older people, but is survivable for most -yet you can't just look at the numbers.

We need to be thinking about what to do in the future -and possibly dealing with a more dangerous virus.

From USA Today, 11 April 2020:
"US now has more coronavirus deaths than any other country, but the worst of epidemic may not be far off"

"the worst of epidemic may not be far off" means that the worst has not arrived yet.
In short, the epidemic is still getting worse.

So, how will people cope when the worst arrives?

You will see that we humans are far more resilient and resourceful than you give us credit for.

Form The Hill, 15 April 2020:

Officially, the global count on those diagnosed as positive for the coronavirus has surpassed 2 million. We have to always add that qualifier of "officially" because everyone knows the number is much larger.

Thus far, there is no known way to prevent COVID-19 via immunization and no known way to heal people of it.

Some people think that everyone who gets it dies, and they have to live in fear and panic all the time. (Or at least when ordered to.) THAT is something for which there is no cure!
