Thinking how difficult it is to find a new car on your own.
I still like the Toyota Aygo, but being told by two mechanics many are Monday morning cars it might not be the best choice. Oddly enough the road assistance comp says they're good as they hardly ever get them in trouble on the road. Then there's Hyundai i20 which I also like. But I then see some for sale with 'clutch has been replaced'. So maybe that's a weak spot? The Hyundai i10 is too light, only 880kg. I don't want that. Suzuki Splash allegedly is okay. I don't know anymore, haha. And unfortunately the mechanic who was going to help me out seems to not be doing that anymore. And then there's wanting a red car. I really want a red car if at all possible. But my girl told me that research says that red cars are more often pulled over by the police. Danged crap. I want a red car |

That way youβll get first hand info from the people who have insight on the respective cars. Red car? It is the only paint colour that actually oxidises and through time the colour fades from shiny to dull. My friendβs red car actually turned pink in the end. True! Good luck Crystal |

No, I am coming to terms with not getting a red car. I was on the phone with my son just now, hes's going to help me out too. He confirmed the research on red cars and being pulled over more often. So let's not go there. Sigh... He's also coming with when we/I find a nice car, which is great. A woman alone will more easily get scr*wed over, I've noticed that vibe more than once in garages. And thanks for the tip! That's what I intend to do. Best way to find out indeed I think. Cheers! |

i'm thinking crystal is thinking too much
finish the research there are way more hot rods red than any other color and many more hot rod drivers that give the police reasons to stop them... zoom zoom. for every nearly every bad report you get on a given model you will find a matching good report not so loudly touted. as for a clutch replacement... the driver has way more effect than the likelyhood of a weak design. and you are buying used near the bottom you are more constrained by what is available than reported new car issues. from what is available get what you like that has the lowest odometer for the money you can swing |

I will not have money again in 3-4 years to buy yet another car so I want something that last me a while. My son said I should buy cheaper, but I don't want that. I'm hoping from approx 2010, and indeed low km on the odometer. Then the road service says not to be blinded by that as with smaller cars that can mean they have only been used a bit for very short distances, so the engine never got properly warm. Good point... Oh well, wait and see. I will have another look at cars tomorrow. I am danged happy my son will help out. I think he's quite happy to be tha man and help his mom, haha. |

I hate it when a tray of assorted cookies is set out and the oatmeal raisin looks too much like chocolate chip so you get a bunch

I don't remember if I changed the recipe years ago all I know is I always had to make a quadruple batch everytime because everyone wanted then. sorry they didn't work for you I have no idea, it was a Quaker Oat recipe. They aren't terrible, just not really flavorful. Kind of bland, but the chips are good I sprinkled cinnamon on a few of them, that helped a little. It could be that they are just healthier than your average cookie If you have it, send me the recipe and I'll compare it to what I have. But then I'm thinking the days of oatmeal cookies are over in this house, lol. Thank you though for your suggestion. |

bland and healthy are not words used to describe these cookies
I'll have to see if I can get mine from my daughters But what I remember it was a pretty basic cookie dough recipe Butter, sugar, brown sugar... cream together add eggs vanilla a couple of T of milk, sift flour, salt, baking power together add gradually Hand mix in quick cook oats, chocolate chips and nuts |
Yep, that's it minus the nuts. Maybe with this recipe the nuts are needed.
That's pretty much every cookie dough recipe
