Ok. I should publish. Apparently my poetry speaks to women.
Does it speak to males? If I am going to be out there and perform my poetry in real life (yeah I am quite the actress), do I do it in female circles or all circles? Never be afraid my child You wont be frightened by this mother's love. Her hands rock the cradle, crooning her protection, nurturing beyond the nightmares humans desire for you. This mother shall sacrifice all for this perfect gift of life. She also changed the heinous words. "Down will come baby, cradle and all To fall into her loving Mother's arms". My latest

I think if you want to do something with this in RL you needn't worry about gender.
You will attract the people who like poetry and are interested. There are also women who are not into that and those won't turn up. It'll work the same with men. And sure, you may end up with more women than men, but you might also be pleasantly surprised :) If most of your poetry is aimed at women and you're more comfy with that then profile what you want to do that way. If not, keep the announcement and how you present what you do general, as in not gender-specific. |

I agree, I think you should publish, you have a wonderful talent for expression that many would enjoy.

Some are definately more female friendly. to be totaly honest.
but at the same time some have a more androgynous appeal. perhaps themed publications? Yea publish LW. go for it.
try the amazon epub market. you can do it free. They take a percentage of sales. see how much interest there is.
