I was taught growing up never to give personal information about myself to strangers unless im talking to family. Only need to know information to others who require it. Example physicians, employers etc

I was talking about a normal conversation during a re-cap of your normal working day with who ever...

What do you consider a normal conversation? Talking about the weather? What you eat for lunch? Give me a break? Work stays at work. Its really none of your business. Who gives a racap about work to a stranger?

Did I say recap to a stranger???
Gotta see my OP huh....
Nope don't see it???

You didnt say anything different

I talk about my whole day all the time . Yet I find some other half's can't or won't bring themselves to do so..just wondering why!??

Sometimes it's nice to be asked how your day went rather than always hearing how someone else's day went.

Like work, when you put your "personal hat" away, at home I tend to put my "work hat" away. The exception is if something really cool happened or something totally pissed me off, then I will share it with my partner.

When I have a partner, I'll ask how their day went, but I'm not looking for a long dialog of their entire day. When they ask, I usually say something brief like, pretty good, or I had a rough day. I agree with Crystal, it's a relationship killer to constantly talk about your entire day. It would definitely get old, and I might start to feel like he was self absorbed and the relationship was all about him.

I work in an office.
My days are pretty much all the same.
I figure, after about 3 days of sharing how
my day went, it's gonna get stale.

Me too I process payroll... Boring. I talk about my day anyway though lol.

Do you always jump to conclusions like that?
I've done work that was sensitive and required signing a piece of paper to keep your gob shut. I did. Never told anyone anything, not even now, 20 years later.
I could still talk about my workday though.

No one is interested in my day. They just want to talk about their day, to me.
