My youngest son ask me what a fallopian tube was ( I freaked out) and I told him it was a brass instrument you play in the band.... I don't think I'm getting the mother of the year award.

OMG! My brain is alive. Cat 2 hurricanes I won't go anywhere. Its gunna have to be a strong cat 3 for me to even consider evacuation. If that happens - gunna need ma truck. While I can take all my important documents in a sachel under my arm, I need to take my computer, hard drives, stereo and speakers. For that, gunna need my truck. Can't do that with a mini cooper. I need my truck. I have living room furniture that is like new. Yeah, its years old but it has been constantly covered. Its all like new. I need my truck. Just in case. I've wanted a mini cooper since I saw The Italian Job. Granted those were modified but I like the style. I saw a mini today worth buying. It was clean and well cared for. At 6 grand, a lil steep but I can afford to pay cash for it. I could buy it if I really want to. I'm thinking about all the pros and cons of buying that mini cooper right now. I haven't researched ownership issues. I haven't looked at maintenance issues. I have tried to imagine the increased cost of insurance and registration. Guesstimating. I would want full coverage because it is in great condition now. My truck is really long in the tooth. It has issues I can no longer deal with. My disability makes it difficult to make the needed repairs and do the needed maintenance. Its gunna go, any time now. Do I get the mini and take a chance or stick with the tried and true? I want the mini. I want to be able to drive to PA to see my family. I want something better on gas. But...I am stuck in a dependence where my truck gives me what I need when I need it. Thing is, knowing what I know, that isn't going to last much longer... Six grand is significant. Increases in insurance is significant. It costs me $28 a year for my truck registration with my truck valued at $100. What will it be with a mini valued at $6k? Plus, in addition to the mini costs, I will still have the truck costs because I need that for hurricane prep. It needs maintenance and has mechanical issues I can no longer fix myself - meaning - pay someone else to fix what I used to be able to fix myself. So THAT is what I have been thinking about. It is good to be making decisions well things are going good. Is an RV still a good prospect? |

That it's quite the pain in the neck to not have Adobe Photoshop anymore on my new PC. MS picture something is useless. I installed Gimp but that never is the same as Adobe. So yeah, I'm narked
