Well I only have a GUESS on this one. Maybe any truckers around can confirm this.

My GUESS is that our government has some sort of subcidies to make up for the added fuel costs and of course they make it up in freight charges as well. So thats the only reason they have not just shut'em down.

Either way, bio diesal use is just more responsible. It'll be a sad day when the oil is gone & we find that underground oil plays an important role to our eco system;^]

well if we're getting into environmentalism then let me say this: an individual car does not create very much polution, millions upon million upon millions of them DO, as such if american citezens would put forth a mass effort 2 carpool as much as possible with their neighboors, to fill each car with 3 or more people who would otherwise be driving their own cars, then many of the issues with the environment/global warming would b solved, not completeley fixed yet but it would do more than just having a bunch of meetings over protocal which do NOTHING

i wouldent boycot wal mart at all. just every foreign made goods in the place. the people could wear a groove in the floor of the place going to the two products made in these united states.

Me wanting to boycott walmart has nothing to do with that, it's for descecrating historical finds in Hawaii and under benefits to their employees. I only care where a product comes from when it involves things like child workers and hazardous working conditions;^]

im a lot more concerned about our childern having a job.

They will, it might have to be in a differant field but as always, as jobs leave new jobs open. There's been a huge boom in computer programming. Again, it's not pretty but it's the cycle that's always been. Would have been more rellevant to argue "I want our auto workers (or whatever field) to have jobs".

They're building overtop of an ancient mass grave in Honululu is very disturbing. The have robbed man, and the Hawaii people of an event in history and more importantly, knowladge itself.
